Progressive hurdler Fabalu makes plenty of appeal on chase bow, but it's very hard to oppose Charingworth off this mark given the manner of success on debut for this yard last week.

Fabalu was an expensive purchase having been successful twice in Irish points, and he made it two wins from four starts over hurdles when last seen in February. He acts on this ground, though the assessor has taken no risks.

Bay Cherry was bought for £60,000 following two victories in Irish Points in 2008, but has run only twice since. He has well-being to prove, and this opening mark looks harsh.

Prosecco was much improved over hurdles last term, jumping well when landing a second handicap at Ayr in January. He ended the season disappointingly though, and runs over a trip beyond best now switched to fences.

Charingworth had modest form at best over hurdles for Henry Daly, but he left that form well behind when making a successful chase debut at Sedgefield recently. Manner of that success suggests the follow-up is on.

Waterski was belatedly off the mark over fences at Kelso recently, that effort representing a career-best. More is needed to follow-up here in a better race, but he may sneak into a place.

Maidstone Mixture has won juvenile hurdles in France and Britain but was very ordinary over fences and has his work cut out to get involved off this mark, especially from out the weights.

Witness Run has operated at a decent level in the past but has been lightly raced in recent seasons and consistency is not his forte.
