I don't think I have contracted swine flu, although I feel as sick as a pig after the weekend's results. There is no quality action to give me a tonic today with Flat racing on turf at Windsor and Salisbury and all-weather racing at Kempton comprising on the Monday menu. It may be worth keeping your powder dry today, waiting for the jumps which will now start to dominate the calendar over the impending winter.

But for those who want to have a flutter, there are a couple of interesting runners...

Pin Cushion (3.05) looks the one to be on at Windsor for the Brian Meehan yard. The yard has a powerful team of youngsters and the very nicely bred daughter of Pivotal can add to Meehan's impressive seasonal statistics in the juvenile ranks. The form of her last run at Newbury looks strong and with continued improvement should break her maiden today.

My best bet of the day is at Salisbury where Secrecy (4.20) looks anything but, having the form and the potential to land this decent looking handicap and possibly go on to bigger and better things. He made his seasonal debut in a very hot handicap at Doncaster, the form of which now looks rock solid and ran a blinder to finish third. In my view he would have won had he not lost a shoe during the race. Footwear permitting he should rectify that today and visit the winners' enclosure with Frankie Dettori in the plate. It looks a very good race, but I think Secrecy has significant potential and offers a value bet on a uninspiring Monday.
