Tony McCoy will be on board Busker Royal in the 15.45 at Fakenham.
"Once again Henderson and McCoy team up, a combination that could once again put is in the money. Busker Royal looked all over a chasing type when running last season over hurdles and makes his chasing debut with the champion booked for the ride."
After a good day's racing and tipping yesterday, Carl Harris returns on Friday to try and build on that success with tips from Doncaster and Fakenham.
It was a great day yesterday, with two out of the three bets winning at pretty good prices, they were very welcome winners and hopefully the good form will continue today.
Doncaster stages the first day of the Racing Post Trophy meeting with the big two year old race of the season being held on Saturday. I'm looking forward to seeing St Nicholas Abbey who could be a very special horse in what looks an excellent race. Al Zir also takes his place and I think we will see a very good performance.
Sadly Doncaster's card today is not quite of the same quality but is very competitive and backers will be rewarded with decent prices. I will have only one bet at Doncaster, on the in form Hotham.
Hotham (15:30) is on a good mark at present and was a very good winner, coming late over five furlongs, at Pontefract on Monday. Here over six at Doncaster, Hotham should be well suited by conditions and should be thereabouts in what is a competitive looking 22 runner handicap. At the prices I will be backing Hotham in both the win and place markets. The stable are in form and Hotham always gives his all, a statement illustrated by his career statistics which show he has been placed in 26 of his 62 starts (41%).
Fakenham stages a jumps card where I rate Busker Royal (15:45) as the best bet on the card. Once again Henderson and McCoy team up, a combination that could once again put is in the money. Busker Royal looked all over a chasing type when running last season over hurdles and makes his chasing debut with the champion booked for the ride. A small but competitive field lines up over the extended two miles and five furlong trip. I think Busker Royal will improve for the move to chasing and will certainly have been well schooled at Seven Barrows.
Here's hoping for a good day on Friday ahead of an interesting day on Saturday with some decent jumps racing as well as the big flat card at Doncaster. Good luck.
Carl Harris' Best Bets for Friday 23 October;
• 15:30 Doncaster- Hotham, Win and place
• 15:45 Fakenham- Busker Royal, Win
