"If Saddlers Jenny can get first run on the wide outside from trap five (the six runner could cut across her if timing his start), I can see her going very close at far odds, and it’s the price that makes her a value bet this afternoon."
Ed Nicholson thinks that Saddlers Jenny offers great value in today's 4.46pm at Kinsley...
On the BAGS circuit today I fancy one at a big price at Kinsley.
Saddlers Jenny (4.46pm) is no longer a youngster having contested over 106 races, but she pops up every now and again in this grade and looks to have been given a suitable draw and race in which to be very competitive.
If she can get first run on the wide outside from trap five (the six runner could cut across her if timing his start), I can see her going very close at far odds, and it's the price that makes her a value bet this afternoon.
Take anything bigger than [6.4] - she's been put in as the complete 5-1 outsider by the Racing Post - as I'm sure she'll give you a good run for your money this afternoon.
Coventry's all Open ten race card tonight provides greyhound punters with some excellent opportunities to make some money with plenty of lively looking betting contests.
But Mark Wallis's Eye Onthe Tempo is the one I'm relying on there this evening as the Top Honcho may 2007 dog looks primed for a good run from trap two in the 9.00pm race.
Eye onthe Tempo was fancied to win over course and distance last week, but poor trapping meant he was always playing catch up - and when he did try to make a move he got crowded out of early contention. If he can away on better terms this evening I could see stretching clear of his field, and that 'sighter' around the track could stand him in excellent stead for tonight.
The trap three runner, Lake of Hearts, could well make the running early but I would expect our fellow to pick him up as the pay peg looms into view. Take anything over [2.8].
