Cross-Sport Multiple: Bank on Everton at the Madjeski
Everton have plenty to celebrate this season

"Energy and hard-work is keeping Reading in contention at the moment, but they simply don’t look a Premiership team."

Andrew Hughes thinks Everton can pick up their third Premier league win on the road and help land a Saturday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Everton to beat Reading at 1.
8

With six draws out of ten games, Reading's Premier League campaign hasn't been a disaster and does at least show that they aren't pushovers. But the absence of anything in the 'win' column means they are firmly in the relegation zone and at the moment, it is hard to see that changing.

They can score goals, as demonstrated by the five they put past Arsenal in the Capital One Cup, but they concede plenty as well. Energy and hard-work is keeping Reading in contention at the moment, but they simply don't look a Premiership team.

Everton work just as hard, but they also have plenty of creativity and that combination is why they are flying high in fourth at the moment. They've already managed convincing wins on the road this season, at Villa and Swansea and have more than enough to overcome the Royals.

Bet 2: Back England to beat Australia at 1.3
4

After a poor showing in the Rugby Championship and a thrashing in Paris, Australian coach Robbie Deans is under intense pressure. He's handed out 14 new caps this year, but the team don't look any better than when he took over.

They should be motivated to improve against their old rivals, and are boosted by the return of the talented Digby Ioane, but that won't be enough to overcome England. Stuart Lancaster's side ran in seven tries against Fiji and are still improving. We can expect them to target their opponents at set-pieces and for Brad Barritt and Manu Tuilagi to hammer the Australian line relentlessly.

Australia have won 23 of their 40 encounters with England, but England have won the last two and they should be backed in the Match Odds Market at 1.34 to make it three.

Bet 3: Back Grand Crus to win the Paddy Power Gold Cup at 3.2
5

Second only to Big Buck's in the staying hurdle division, Grand Crus put in three impressive performances as a novice chaser last year, before disappointing in the RSA at Cheltenham; fading towards the end of the race after travelling well throughout.

The impression was that he didn't quite stay, but he also scoped badly afterwards, so the jury is still out on his Gold Cup credentials, but he should have no trouble dropping back half a mile to for the showpiece of the Open Meeting.

He's won three times in five appearances at Cheltenham, including over this distance on his chasing debut last season and he is handily weighted, considering he is the classiest horse in the contest. The Pipe stable's record in the race is second to none and they can be relied upon to have him at peak fitness for this.
