Jake Paul v Anthony Joshua - Who will win?

Anthony Joshua will beat Jake Paul comfortably when the pair meet for their showpiece bout in Miami in the early hours of Saturday morning.

That's according to the Betfair Sportsbook fight winner market which makes the British fighter a heavyweight odds-on 1/141.07 for the win.

Joshua has not always delivered for his backers and has hit the canvas against the odds when taking on opponents who were deemed inferior. But it could not happen this time...could it?

If you disagree you can take the 13/27.50 on a Paul victory. The brash American, who made his name as a YouTuber before embarking on an unlikely boxing career, is not short of self-belief and would surely back himself - especially at those odds!

This is, after all, a man who defeated Mike Tyson. Which sounds pretty good. Until you remember Tyson was 58-years-old at the time and it was 30 years since he had terrorised opponents to become World Heavyweight Champion.

Still, in his 13 fights, Paul has won 12 and lost once. That sole defeat came to Tommy Fury.

Joshua has had 32 professional fights, winning 28 and losing four. The vast majority of them were against considerably tougher opponents than Paul - such as Oleksandr Usyk and, most recently, in September last year, Daniel Dubois - but AJ must, as Frank Monkhouse says, take Saturday's fight seriously.

Jake Paul v Anthony Joshua - How will the fight end?

If Joshua brings his A game then there will be only one winner. But what do the Betfair odds tell us about how will the British heavyweight go about it?

The shortest price in the Method of Victory betting is 1/41.25 on Joshua by Knockout (KO), Technical Knockout (TKO) or DQ (disqualification). Bascially, this is the option you take it you like the price on AJ winning comfortably.

It is 11/112.00 that Paul wins by this method and pulls off a stunning victory.

Joshua to win by decsion is 5/16.00 while a victory on points or by decision for Paul is 16/117.00 - the longest shot in the market.

All of this leads to the conclusion that Joshua has the tools to knockout his opponent on Saturday night. If the Brit fails to fire, however, Paul's best chance of victory is to get on the front foot.

So how long should we expect the fight to last? Surely it would not go the distance. The market thinks not and makes it 3/14.00 that we will see the full eight rounds.

In fact, the odds indicate it could be done and dusted early, with the fight 11/43.75 to end in the first round and 10/34.33 in the second.

Let's hope it's a lot longer, and closer, the odds suggest four days out.
