Betfair tipster Sam Turner heads to Warwick on New Year's Eve for two selections...

  • Step up in trip can see selection thrive

  • Sam's the man at Warwick

  • Gretton Hexham winner backed to follow up

Warwick, 13.52 - Back Bobbi's Beauty each-way @ 1/12.00

Freddie Keighley is beginning to make his mark in the saddle this term and the young conditional rider can register a welcome winner for his father in this Class 5 handicap courtesy of victory aboard Bobbi's Beauty.

Residing on a mark of just 98, there must be a case for saying the seven-year-old remains feasibly treated given she has recorded two honourable performances in defeat this term

Both of those contests at Warwick and Lingfield have worked out extremely well with a host of winners emerging from each race, with the selection's fine second to subsequent Market Rasen scorer, Kykorock, is arguably her best over fences.

Third-home Superstylin has won since, while Chief O'Hara (sixth) has scored twice and even Stick With Me Sam, who finished last of seven around today's venue, has run out an eight-length scorer on his next start.

Bobbi's Beauty failed to go one better at Lingfield, but with the runner-up and third both obliging this month, the form looks solid for the grade and she should take a hand here.

Admittedly, there is a question mark over the trip, but she hails from a family tree which includes Minella Warrior and the high-class Menorah so today's step up in distance shouldn't a barrier to success, indeed she may even improve for the new trip.

Warwick, 14.52 - Back Stick With Me Sam @ 1/12.00

The decision to be a little more proactive with Stick With Me Sam last time out at Hexham paid off in spades as the six-year-old jumped with more enthusiasm to run out an eight-length scorer.

Hopefully, connections will employ those tactics again here and allow the selection to draft in behind likely front runner El Rojo Grande and produce a challenge late on.

An 8lb rise may not be enough to stop Stick With Me Sam following up as he remains on a basement mark and looks a fair bet to go one better than he managed in this race last year.

The fly in the ointment could be point winner Youdecide who bounced back to form with a solid effort over hurdles in the first-time cheekpieces at Huntingdon.

However, Warwick isn't the easiest track for a chasing debutant so I'm hoping Stick With Me Sam's experience and effectiveness at the track can prove a winning formula.
