Leicester, 15.40 - Back She's Crafty @ 9/25.50
A lowish draw has been a positive on the straight course at Leicester for a good while now and She's Crafty could well benefit from a handy berth now she returns to the Midlands venue.
The daughter of Starman caught the eye on her debut for trainer George Margason in a similar race over course and distance last month behind Euphonia (won again since) when she stayed on takingly to snatch fourth late on at a big price despite being drawn 16th of the 17 runners.
A subsequent effort over Yarmouth's mile when well backed didn't yield much success, but a better effort at Lingfield last time chasing home the enigmatic, but talented Thanos who thrived for the application of the first-time cheekpieces suggested She's Crafty is capable of landing a minor race like this under these conditions.

Bath, 16.00 - Back Correspondence @ 2/13.00
The form of Correspondence's Windsor success earlier this month was royally enhanced when runner-up Cayman Tai bolted up at Southwell on his subsequent start 10 days later, and the quirky son of War Front might be capable of following up in this company if he relents to use all of the talent at his disposal.
There is little doubt the selection is a far from straightforward conveyance - he weaved all over the place when hitting the front under Tom Marquand last time - but he is a useful sprinter at the right level and a 5lb rise for his inaugural success may not be enough to stop him winning again for his prolific handler, especially as he ran extremely well at today's venue at the end of April in a better class of race than this.

Plumpton, 19.09 - Back Begin The Luck @ 2/13.00
Small field, handicap chases in the summer wouldn't normally be my preferred medium of choice for a bet, but there looks solid reasons for believing Begin The Luck ought to take a major hand in this Class 4 affair.
A record of eight wins from 29 starts during the quarter between March and June is a very healthy return for a 10-year-old who has never exceeded a rating of 111 in a 63-race career.
Compare those returns with the other eight months of the year where Begin The Luck is 2-34 and we are dealing with a horse that probably loves some sunshine and better ground, while he is also at his best when returning to the track swiftly following a recent run.
All 10 of the gelding's career successes have been achieved when he has run withing 30 days of his previous start, while he is 0-15 beyond that time frame so conditions look ideal for him to produce another bold showing in this event with Beau Morgan looking to add to his two victories aboard the selection.
