Ryan Moore: We like River a lot ahead of Longchamp Group 3 attempt

He has the pedigree - he is by Australia out of the Irish 1000 Guineas runner-up Could It Be Love - and he certainly has the Group-race potential in his own right after quite a taking win at Dundalk on his debut. I didn't ride him there but you had to be impressed by the manner in which he was so strong at the line, and we think he is a good horse who will have learned a lot from that debut.

Obviously, he will have to up his game considerably against a strong home contingent from the top yards in this Group 3, and Jessie Harrington's Pivotal Trigger looked good at Galway too, but we think our colt is decent, as I said.
