Can take step up in class in her stride
13:50 - Crystal Caprice
I thought she did well to win as emphatically as she did at Ascot last time as it was a messy race, and I don't think she was seen to best effect there. This is another step up in class for her, but I think she is more than capable of handling herself in Listed company, given her rate of progress and her pedigree, but this will obviously tell us. This is a filly I like, and hopefully she can handle the conditions.
Going the right way but needs to keep progressing
14:25 - Peripatetic
She needs to step up to be in with a winning chance here but she is certainly going the right way and she couldn't have won any better than she did when a wide-margin scorer at Goodwood last time. That win came off a mark of 86 in a three-runner handicap though, so she clearly has to continue that progression stepping up to Group company.
Well-related but she has plenty to find
15:00 - Dubai Jemila
I haven't ridden her yet but it is fair to say that she has plenty to find here on what she has shown to date. But she is a well-related Dubawi filly coming here off a win, and this is only her third start, so the potential is there.
The Kingman filly Commissioning did look very good when beating one of ours on debut on the July course though, and Sydneyarmschelsea did it well for me in Group company in Deauville last time, and they are just two in here with strong claims.
Sandown win gives her a strong chance
15:35 - Potapova
She went off the boil a touch after a good second for me at Epsom earlier in the season but she was back with a bang when impressively winning the Atalanta Stakes at Sandown last time. That form looks very strong too, with both the third and fifth winning Group 3s on their next start, so she comes in here with every chance. This is a tough race though, but she is in with a definite shot of following up if in the same form as Sandown.
A good starting point
16:10 - Greatest Time
I don't know much about him at the moment to be honest, but he is a No Nay Never out of a mare who got 1m, so the 7f looks good as a starting point.
Has a chance with lots in his favour
16:45 - Global Storm
He has run to a very consistent, and pretty high, level all year. He has performed well in defeat in Group company and he wasn't beaten far off a mark of 106 in the Ebor last time. He probably has a bit to find form-wise but he gets weight off the top two, he is a course winner, the trip suits and he is ground-versatile, so he is in with a chance.
