In great form at home and goes to Ayr fresh and well

Ayr 15:00 - Telmesomethinggirl

It's a quiet weekend on the National Hunt front in Ireland this weekend, no National Hunt racing on the eve of the Punchestown Festival next week.

It should be a great week at Punchestown, it always is, and I'm very much looking forward to it. I will be on again next week to go through my rides.

In the meantime, I am off to Ayr on Saturday to ride Telmesomethinggirl in the Grade 2 Jordan Electrics Ltd Future Champion Novices' Chase.

She is in great form at home. She didn't go to Cheltenham, so she goes to Ayr fresh and well. It looks like a very competitive race, Balco Coastal sets a good standard, but I think that she definitely has her chance.

She was obviously a high-class hurdler, she won the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, and her jumping continues to get better over fences.

She stayed on well to beat Instit to win her beginners' chase at Naas in January, and she had Instit behind her again last time when she finished second behind Brides Hill in a listed mares' novice chase at Thurles. Instit enhanced that form when she won a listed mares' novice chase at the Fairyhouse Irish Grand National meeting last weekend.

It's nice that we are going over, and it would be great if Telmesomethinggirl could provide Kenny Alexander with a winner in Scotland. I hope that she can run a big race.
