Successful in the Prix de l'Opera on this card 2 years ago and justified the decision to keep her in training at 5 (missed whole of 2025) when landing the Prix Vermeille over this C&D last month. Enjoyed a big positional advantage there, though, and this is far tougher.

Acquitted himself well when sixth in this last year at big odds before winning the Prix Royal-Oak over nearly 2m. Not at quite the same level this year, doing his best work late when close fourth in the Grand Prix de Deauville last time. Final runner for a trainer who won this in 2020 and 2023.

Ran away with the Grosser Preis von Bayern on soft ground at the end of last year and has upheld those levels in 2026, improving further on rain-softened ground when routing the Coronation Cup field. Second to Daryz in Prix Foy but the rain hasn't arrived for him and has wide draw to contend with.

Just touched off by Daryz in last year's race from an ideal draw but generally hasn't been near that level this year. The one exception was when a place ahead of Daryz in the Prince of Wales's Stakes, but it takes a bit of a leap of faith to see her bouncing back.

Came of age when winning this race last year (battled well to get past Minnie Hauk) and readily won his 3 starts on home soil this year. Came unstuck behind the outstanding Ombudsman in the Prince of Wales's Stakes but still unexposed over 1½m and has fared well with the draw once again. Big chance.

Looked really good when storming clear to win the Oaks but that form has taken numerous knocks. Found to be coughing after finishing only fourth in the Pretty Polly 3 weeks later and got back on track when landing the Blandford last month. Completely unexposed at 1½m and draw looks good on paper.
