"He is another who is sure to improve for the run but he's ready to go and his schooling at home has been good."
It's a busy Sunday for Warren Chase as Betfair Ambassador Olly Murphy saddles seven runners across the cards at Kelso and Uttoxeter...
Having his first run for me in Uttoxeter opener
Uttoxeter 12:35 - General Probus
General Probus was previously trained by Jeremy Scott and has his first run for the yard here. He's had a couple of runs at Exeter, but this looks a fairly competitive maiden hurdle to start off with. I think we'll know a lot more about him after the race and he's maybe one to watch a bit more closely in the future.
Will improve for experience on hurdling debut
Uttoxeter 13:05 - Here Comes McCoy
Here Comes McCoy won well on debut at Warwick in his bumper back in January and he has a first run over hurdles here. His work has been good at home and he will improve for the experience. I'm looking forward to getting him back out on the track in what looks another competitive race on paper, with Dan Skelton's Faivoir looking the one to beat.
Rain will help his chances
Uttoxeter 13:40 - Oscar Maguire
Oscar Maguire hasn't had the best start over fences, but he goes back up in trip here which will suit him. He will appreciate the softer ground so the rain forecast for the weekend will help and he's been given a chance by the handicapper, dropped 5lbs from his run here last month. Conditional jockey Fergus Gregory takes off another 3lbs so with a few things in his favour, he will have an each-way chance.
Yard favourite goes over hurdles for the first time
Kelso 15:00 - Linelee King
Linelee King is one of the favourites in the yard and he makes his debut over hurdles after some decent form in bumpers last season, winning nicely at Sedgefield. He is another who is sure to improve for the run but he's ready to go and his schooling at home has been good. A couple of these horses already have experience in this sphere, with Donald McCain's Blakeney Point winning well last time, but hopefully our lad can give a good account of himself under Richard Johnson.
We haven't seen the best of him yet
Kelso 16:00 - Dundrum Wood
Dundrum Wood has his first start as a chaser here and we think he's been crying out for a fence, previously winning a point-to-point and novice hurdle. He's one we don't think we've seen the best of yet and we're looking forward to running him after schooling nicely at home. He's undergone wind surgery and was the best rated of this field over hurdles, having to give weight away, but it doesn't look the strongest race so hopefully he can put in a big race.
Consistent Fitzroy can give another good account
Kelso 16:35 - Fitzroy
Fitzroy is a consistent horse, having had four runs last season, placing in three and only running disappointingly at Wetherby when my horses weren't quite right. He has experience which always counts for plenty and the form from his last run at Ludlow is working out quite nicely. He's the type to give another good account of himself and hopefully he can go one better.
Each-way chance in the lucky last
Kelso 17:10 - Made For You
Made For You finished last season with improvement, winning at Musselburgh before placing on his next run at Fontwell. He's gone back up in the handicap and carries top-weight here, but our promising conditional Lewis Stones takes 6lbs off his back. Hopefully, he can improve for the step up in trip and he looks to have a good each-way chance here.
