Kevin Blake has two tips for Saturday's ITV Racing action

"A 6lb rise for that is reasonable and with conditions to suit, he could well be up to defying his revised mark."

There's lots of competitive action on ITV Racing on Saturday, and Kevin Blake has two each-way plays from the meetings at Chester and York...

There is a feeling of something of a calm before the storm this weekend. Royal Ascot is just around the corner, but we have a series of competitive contests on ITV Racing to enjoy this Saturday and there are winners to be found.

Outgate can score again on the Roodee from good draw

Over at Chester, the Extra Places Every Day At Betway Handicap (15:20) is a very valuable contest and it might well go the way of the Daniel and Claire Kubler-trained Outgate.

The son of Outstrip gained a valuable win over this course and distance on his penultimate start, handling the track beautifully from his low draw and ultimately winning with authority.

Things didn't go as smoothly for him in a valuable handicap at Haydock last time, as he was interfered with at the start and had to race much further back in the field than ideal. It is to his credit that he ran on well enough to secure a modest third.

Now that he is back at Chester and has once again pulled a good draw, he could well get back on the up. A return to more prominent riding tactics will help his cause and he appeals as having scope to improve again off his current mark. It wouldn't surprise to see him run a big race.

Harry can score again off revised mark

Another very valuable handicap takes place at York in the shape of the Pavers Foundation Catherine Memorial Sprint Handicap (15:40) and Clive Cox may well have the answer with Harry Three.

The son of Adaay made a bright start to his career, winning his first two starts in novice company, but he found the switch into handicap company to be a bit more challenging and took time to find his feet.

With the benefit of four progressively more encouraging runs in handicaps under his belt, he got back on the up when overcoming some trouble in running to win a very competitive handicap at Newmarket last time.

A 6lb rise for that is reasonable and with conditions to suit, he could well be up to defying his revised mark.
