Tribal Chief has been luckless since his previous win here last season when beating Treble Tee by half-a-length from a mark of 90. He has since featured in a number of big field handicaps, often struggling for a favourable run in the closing stages or getting off to a sluggish start which has impacted his chance in a race.

In a smaller field at a track where he is proven, the David Menuisier-trained contender could return to the winners' enclosure and land a long-awaited sixth career success. He appears on a workable mark as he has shaped as though he could be effective from a much higher mark if things fall right for him, and he may reward the faith under an in-form William Buick for a local yard.

Eight-year-old gelding Conyers Hill has only one win over fences under Rules but has finished second on five occasions, including in all of his latest three starts.

He was narrowly denied by King Alexander when sent off at odds of 25/126.00 in the Galway Plate when last seen under 5lb claiming Alan O'Sullivan, who retains the ride, and, although upped 4lb for that runner-up effort, could be worth keeping onside for Paul Nolan.

Having gained plenty of valuable experience over the larger obstacles to date and shown promise as a staying chaser, this could be the right assignment for Conyers Hill at this stage in his career and he holds strong each-way claims if replicating his recent form.

One of the outsiders of the field, You Oughta Know could outrun his odds under 3lb claimer Josh Williamson for Willie Mullins in this prestigious staying contest. He's yet to be fully exposed over fences, particularly in handicap company, and, although he needs to find improvement on much of his form over the past year, he has shown snippets of great ability on occasion.

Despite being inconsistent, the eight-year-old gelding has finished second twice in two respective Grade Three novice chases to Ol Man Dingle and Uhavemeinstiches. He could be well-treated from a rating of 137 if on a going day, and was sent off as the 9/25.50 favourite when coming down in the contest twelve months ago from the same mark of 137.
