Further drop in class could see dual Group 3 winner strike at Kempton
Course-and-distance winner Hero Of The Hour has been running consistently well of late at the course without winning, finishing in fifth twice, including in his latest start, and in fourth on his penultimate outing behind Sovereign Banter.
When last seen, the eight-year-old put in a creditable effort to be beaten only a length-and-a-half by Lismacbryan Hill having been supported into a price of 9/25.50 under James Ryan, who retains the ride.
The jockey partnered him to his latest success at Down Royal in July when taking off from a rating 54. He's without the claim here but is on the same mark, 10lb below his last winning all-weather mark, which puts him in with strong claims at the weights.
It could prove worth keeping the faith in the son of Lord Kanaloa in his 31st all-weather start as he bids for a fifth win on this surface. He has amassed plenty of experience at the track throughout his career to date and should be able to put in another competitive performance at odds of 11/26.50.

Six-year-old gelding Twilight Jet is rated 27lb below his highest career rating to date on a mark of 87, and, although unable to reach the heights he once showed when competing at Group One level for former trainer Michael O'Callaghan, remains a horse with ability.
He was only narrowly denied from a 6lb higher mark at the Derby Festival during the summer when outrunning odds of 33/134.00 for his current trainers Jim and Suzi Best, and was beaten only two-and-a-half-lengths at odds of 28/129.00 at Ascot in October.
This is a further drop in class for the dual Group Three winner and could be his time to get off the mark for his new connections. The son of Twilight Son is on a workable mark under Sean Levey and has the ability to pose a threat on a going day.
Whilst he's lacked consistency recently and has little experience on the all-weather, he has been given a chance at the weights in this company, and should be good enough to make his presence felt.
Twilight Jet has shown on occasions this year that he is more than capable of returning to winning ways for the first time in over two years, and this could be a feasible opportunity for him to do so at a price of 22/123.00.
