Gowran Park, 14:40 - Back Aurora Mist @ 10/34.33

The Andrew Slattery team has started the Flat season in great form, currently performing at a 30 percent strike-rate, and they saddle interesting contender Aurora Mist in this 7f contest.

The three-year-old filly made seven appearances as a juvenile last term, failing to get off the mark but putting in a few creditable efforts during the second-half of her debut campaign. She recorded form figures of 554 in her last three runs of the season, all in competitive fields featuring 12 runners or more.

Having dropped 7lb from her opening mark of 66, the daughter of Inns Of Court could be able to improve on her previous runs in handicap company and make a promising start to the season for an in-form team.

A half-sister to three winners including 94-rated Little Queenie, Aurora Mist could progress beyond her current rating of 59. She gained some valuable experience last, and could show further improvement this season.

Gowran Park, 16:25 - Back Ob La Di E/W @ 12/113.00

Johnny Murtagh-trained Ob La Di didn't perform when upped again in trip to a mile-and-a-half at the end of last season, but had previously won over an extended mile-and-a-quarter at Naas from only a 4lb lower mark, and could use her stamina to good effect in softer conditions over a mile here.

The daughter of Blue Point has been able to perform with some credit over 1m5f in the past, as well as winning her maiden over an extended mile-and-a-half at Bellewstown, and put in an excellent effort last spring to finish an eyecatching fifth to Beset, who has since franked the form, when rated 85.

There could be more to come from Ob La Di, who is on a workable mark and could be capable of holding her own in this field under Ben Coen.

Gowran Park, 16:25 - Back Greydreambeliever E/W @ 12/113.00

Making her debut for Joseph O'Brien, Greydreambeliever could be dangerous from a mark of 78 under Ronan Whelan. She shaped with great promise as a juvenile on debut at York, beating now 94-rated Stormy Impact for former trainer Karl Burke, before emerging with credit in Group Three company at Salisbury, finishing fifth to Tabiti when only a neck behind now 95-rated Betty Clover.

Last term, she failed to record another success despite being highly tried during the season, and dropped from an opening mark of 95 to 79. She did make the frame on occasion, however, running well on the July Course twice, outrunning her odds on both occasions, as well as finishing a length third at Hamilton in her penultimate start.

Having been competitive from a higher rating in the past, Greydreambeliever is one to consider in this field and the step up to a mile could bring out further improvement being out of a daughter of Authorized in Dione, with middle-distance performers in the family.

Gowran Park, 16:55 - Back Saith Seren E/W @ 11/112.00

Five-year-old mare Saith Seren remains a maiden after 11 runs but could be worth keeping onside considering some of the form she has shown from a similar or higher rating in the past. She was narrowly denied by Martinelli when equipped with a first-time tongue-tie in heavy conditions over a mile previously, and caught the eye when running on behind Still She Blooms at Killarney last term from the same mark of 51.

Trained by Andrew Lee and sporting a hood once again in this race, the daughter of Cable Bay could be able to give a good account of herself and has the benefit of a recent run from which she could take a significant step forward back on the Turf.

She has coped well with easier ground in the past, and has stuck on well over a shorter distance, therefore could be suited by this challenge and may be able to put in a bold bid under Rory Cleary.

Nottingham, 17:10 - Back Cavolo Nero @ 11/43.75

Top weight Cavolo Nero is one to note under Hollie Doyle in this mile-and-a-quarter contest at Nottingham. He has shown a high level of form in the past and is on a workable mark of 86 having made the frame from this rating under Tom Marquand last term in first-time cheekpieces, which remain on.

On debut, he made a successful start by beating Invited, now rated 86, at Southwell, before chasing home Stateira and Power Fizz in respective outings, opponents now rated 102 and 97 respectively. The son of Make Believe returned to the winners' enclosure in his fourth start, winning from a rating of 81 at Goodwood, and put in respectable efforts without mounting a serious challenge at Newmarket, Goodwood and Ascot.

There's substance to his form and there could be further improvement to come from him during his second season of racing. He has shaped with promise, including from his current mark, and could take a step forward from his reappearance last month.

Nottingham, 17:10 - Back Qitaal E/W @ 7/18.00

Another to consider in the same race is Charlie Johnston-trained Qitaal, who made a brilliant return to action at Lingfield in February when narrowly denied at 11/112.00.

He hasn't quite fired in two runs since, but could be worth keeping the faith in from a lower mark of 79, the same rating as when recording his latest success at Chester a couple of seasons ago.

The experienced seven-year-old is sporting first-time cheekpieces, which could spark some further improvement, and he's dropping in class here, in calmer waters at a track where he's proven.
