Nine-year-old gelding Anyharminasking is dropping in class from a mark 5lb below his last win over hurdles. He must transfer that level of form to chasing, yet to strike in four starts over the larger obstacles, but shaped with some promise behind Beau Quali from a rating of 125 earlier in the term.
His latest couple of runs haven't been his best, but he's back up in trip on better ground which could be key to his chances. He once beat Constitution Hill in a point-to-point and, although he hasn't quite reached the heights of his rival that day on Tipperary course, he has shown to possess plenty of ability on a going day and this could be a feasible opportunity for him to return to the winners' enclosure.

Nicky Richards-trained Smokeringinthedark remains unexposed in only his eighth career start and could be well treated from a mark of 118. He has shown form during his career to date, when beating Jet To Vegas in a maiden hurdle at Musselburgh and when second to Fasol in his penultimate start at the same venue, and has the scope for further improvement.
His latest run could be worth forgiving as it was a disappointing effort following a previous good run on New Year's Day. He can fare better here with the return to a slightly sounder surface likely to suit.
Now on a mark of 118, Smokeringinthedark is on a workable rating from which he can be competitive. He made the frame on handicap debut from a 1lb higher rating last spring, when second to Moon Chime at Hexham, therefore may be worth keeping onside in this extended two-and-a-half-mile contest under an in-form Danny McMenamin.

Over the past few seasons, course-and-distance winner He's A Gentleman has recorded form figures of 21225121972 at this venue. Generally consistent here, he's difficult to oppose when lining up at Wolverhampton, usually able to make the frame and sometimes having excuses when beaten.
Only 3lb higher than his latest success, he holds leading claims under Oisin Orr in this 7f contest, with plenty of course form in his favour and a favourable enough draw from stall 3. He has been competitive from a much higher mark in recent terms, therefore should be capable of posing a threat from his current rating.
Trained by Hugo Palmer, the likeable grey was only narrowly denied by Serious Look when last seen, beaten a nose on the line when sent off at odds of 9/110.00. He has the ability to go one better this time out, over this shorter distance, and should make his presence felt with a favourable trip.

Making only his second start in handicap company, The Lost Sock could improve plenty on his return to action at Kempton earlier this month in his first run for 189 days following a gelding operation.
Entitled to improve for his reappearance, this could be a feasible opportunity for the flashy chestnut to return to the winners' enclosure, having already landed a first win in a Catterick maiden last summer. He beat two subsequent winners that day in runner-up Mossvale Diva and Nala's Dream, having previously chased home Rikki Tiki Tavi at Thirsk when ahead of a promising performer in Boston Dan, now rated 97.
There could be further improvement to come from The Lost Sock, who may be well treated from a rating of 83 in this contest. He makes appeal under Callum Rodriguez, holding solid claims as he bids for the second win of his career.
