Dropping in class over this extended two-mile trip, course winner Shadow Dance could be worth keeping the faith in as he bids to return to form. He has struggled to be competitive for Rebecca Menzies so far this year following a switch from the Roger Varian stable, but was far from disgraced from an 11lb higher rating on yard debut and reappearance in January.
Things haven't panned out favourably for the grey since, but he is equipped once again with cheekpieces, which were first applied in his latest run, and he's stepping back up in distance from a lowered rating, therefore could be capable of a better showing under Kaiya Fraser.
The six-year-old is 9lb below his last winning mark and may put in an improved effort in calmer waters. He has plenty of experience at the track which should hold him in good stead.

Jim Bolger-trained filly Sparan Nua put in an excellent performance at odds of 25/126.00 when narrowly denied by Kalpana in the Yorkshire Oaks. She had previously been an unlucky third in the Irish Oaks, failing to get the gaps early enough to pose a threat on that occasion, before finishing in fourth when dropping to a mile at Leopardstown in her subsequent start behind Isaac Newton.
So far during her career, the daughter of Dawn Approach has gained plenty of valuable experience and appears most effective over this middle-distance trip. This assignment should perfectly suit and there could be even further progression to come from the unexposed filly, who makes only her seventh career start.

York, 15:15 - Back Besieged @ 9/43.25
Well-bred handicap debutant Besieged could make a successful start in this sphere from an opening mark of 93 for Harry Charlton. He was a dominant 14-length winner of a Salisbury maiden when last seen, having previously finished second twice to Go Rimbaud and Heyzoom respectively, shaping with promise.
Having run consistently well in three starts to date and being out of top-class mare Snow Lantern, whose two-year-old colt Alfred Wallace claimed Solario Stakes success last weekend, this son of Dubawi could be capable of showing further progression. This is only his fourth career start and the best should be yet to come from the three-year-old.

Five-year-old gelding Ten Bob Tony has enjoyed a fine season so far winning a Group Three at Epsom on Derby Day before claiming a shock 50/151.00 success in the Group One Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Ten Bob Tony has finished fourth in deep waters in both of his latest couple of outings, when behind Bow Echo in a fantastic renewal of the Sussex Stakes, and in the City Of York Stakes won by Notable Speech. He caught the eye in defeat at Goodwood when staying on well, and, although versatile, did show a liking for softer conditions in the past, suggesting this assignment could suit perfectly.
The likeable chestnut has proven his credentials at the top table on multiple occasions already this year, and holds solid claims coming into this contest for Ed Walker.
Back Ten Bob Tony in 15:25 Longchamp
Longchamp, 16:00 - Back Alam @ 9/25.50
Zelzal colt Alam claimed Group Three honours at Saint-Cloud earlier in the season before finishing fifth in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly behind Constitution River.
He was only narrowly denied by Maltese Cross when third in the Grand Prix de Paris over course-and-distance in July, and, if able to improve further for his first experience over a mile-and-a-half, could pose a threat in this field.
A promising prospect for Mikel Delzangles, Alam is one to note in the hands of Pierre-Charles Boudot, and could put in a threatening performance in this competitive Group Two contest.
