Four-year-old gelding Play Me wasn't disgraced when last seen on Turf here, but is capable of better and could be worth keeping the faith in on his return over course-and-distance having finished a good third on this track in his penultimate start.
He's rated 1lb lower on a mark of 62 now with 7lb claimer Donagh Murphy in the saddle once again, only 5lb higher than his last win and 1lb higher than when narrowly denied at Epsom in the autumn.
On a workable mark, the son of Too Darn Hot holds a solid each-way chance for Jim Boyle and could add to his sole career success to date in his 19th outing.

Things didn't pan out favourably for Green Triangle on his British return over course-and-distance recently, but there could be more to come from the four-year-old who remains largely unexposed in handicaps, yet to show his full potential.
He caught the eye in Meydan over the winter, particularly when a strong-finishing fourth to Arabian Light in January, and a mark of 87 may prove lenient should the race work out well for him this time around at Newbury.
The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained contender finished third at Listed level earlier in his career when trained by Joseph O'Brien, and also featured in a Killarney contest won by future Classic winner Lambourn. He has shown to still possess plenty of ability this year and this could be a feasible opportunity for him under in-form rider Jamie Spencer.

Six-year-old gelding Noodle Mission may improve for his recent reappearance effort at Kempton when unable to make an impression. He's entitled to take a step forward for his first run in 218 days and could fare better this time around for Edward Smyth-Osbourne.
The son of Noble Mission is rated 12lb lower than his last win, which came on the all-weather at Southwell, currently on a 5lb lower mark than his all-weather mark. He has one Turf win to his name when winning from 72 at Newmarket earlier in his career, and has shown over the past year that he still retains ability and is capable of a bold showing on a going day.

Stephen Thorne-trained Pink Oxalis should be able to pose a threat from a rating of 90 under 3lb claiming Jack Kearney in this extended 1m1f handicap. She's a course winner who is only 5lb higher than her last winning mark, coming off the back of a promising third from an unchanged rating over 7f here in April.
A formidable horse on her day who has Stakes level experience, the five-year-old is on a rating from which she can be competitive and should make her presence felt off top-weight in this field. She has plenty of experience as well as course form in her favour, and warrants serious consideration as she bids for a fifth career success.

Representing Grace Harris under 5lb claiming Ashley Lewis, grey filly The Feminine Urge could be dangerous from a rating of 62. She's 4lb lower than when recording her last win for former trainer George Scott, and 3lb below her third on reappearance this term on yard debut for her current stable.
Proven over the distance and on a lenient rating if at her best, the four-year-old daughter of Mehmas makes appeal at the weights, capable of putting in a bold bid as she attempts to land a fourth career win. She's a likeable performer on her day and shouldn't be discounted despite being unable to show the best of her ability in her latest start at Bath.

Course-and-distance winner King Of Speed has been running well in recent runs, finishing third at odds of 25/126.00 in his penultimate start before being beaten only a length-and-three-quarters at Kempton when last seen.
Under 7lb claimer Hope Regan from a rating of 55 in this contest, the seven-year-old son of Acclamation could return to the winners' enclosure in familiar surroundings. He has been knocking on the door and is now 4lb below his last winning mark as he returns to the scene of his latest success for Mark Loughnane.

Equipped with first-time blinkers and a first-time tongue-tie, George Boughey-trained Amorim could show plenty of improvement with the addition of headgear as well as a previous run this season behind him and a first run following a gelding operation. He's entitled to take a step forward from his disappointing reappearance at Newbury and could fare much better this time around.
As a juvenile last term, the son of Havana Grey shaped with promise, finishing second to Postmodern on debut before dominating in a Windsor novice event to shed his maiden tag, as well as achieving a third-placed finish to Wise Approach at Listed level. He is bidding to resume his progression here, and, making only his seventh career start, it's too early to give up on the gelding, who has shown to possess ability.
A mark of 87 may underestimate him should he show he can still perform to the level he has demonstrated previously, and this may be a good opportunity for him to return to some form under in-form rider Billy Loughnane.

Making his first start for Steph Hollinshead, six-year-old gelding Wodao is one to note under Dougie Costello, having dropped to a low mark of 67. He's winless since a Listed success at Tipperary in 2022 when trained by Donancha O'Brien, for whom he also placed at Group Three level.
Although the son of Showcasing was unable to record victory for former trainer Jamie Osborne, he did threaten on occasion from much higher marks, including when narrowly denied at Goodwood from a rating of 92. He was able to show he still retains some ability with some decent efforts over the winter, and, having dropped again at the weights, he could finally be able to be competitive once again.
