Wincanton, 14:50 - Back Nambiti @ 9/110.00

Top weight Nambiti is a horse to consider for Venetia Williams in this 3m1f handicap chase at Wincanton. The yard has returned to form recently, and this gelding could do the same following a pulled up effort at Warwick last month.

The eight-year-old is yet to make a significant impact for his current stable, having switched from France where he had enjoyed two successes over fences, but there could be more to come from him. He was returning from a 641-day break when far from disgraced in fourth behind Buckna on his reappearance at Hereford in December, and, despite being unable to complete in his latest run, may have needed some time to get back to full fitness and sharpness following such a lengthy layoff.

The son of Walk In The Park is now 12lb lower rated than when making his stable debut in a handicap hurdle, and is equipped with cheekpieces for the first time since making his first career start at Auteuil in 2021.

The return of headgear, along with the current yard form, could spark some improvement in this unexposed chaser, whose best days could be ahead of him.

Bangor-on-Dee, 15:00 - Back Classic Concorde E/W @ 12/113.00

Course-and-distance winner Classic Concorde may be in the latter stages of his racing career, now making his 69th start as a 13-year-old veteran, but he has shown snippets of good form in competitive contests over the past year or so, suggesting the spark remains on a going day.

The likeable son of Shantou has recorded eight wins under Rules so far during his career, along with four point-to-point successes, as he appears for the 49th time over hurdles. He finished a respectable fifth to King Of The Lake when sent off at odds of 50/151.00 at Chepstow over Christmas, and these are much calmer waters as he drops in class.

Capable of making his presence felt in this field, Classic Concorde cannot be discounted with any confidence considering he's now 5lb below his last win, in a lower class contest, having been able to hold his own against tough opposition in recent years.

Last term, the David Brace-trained representative finished an excellent fourth to J'Ai Froid in a Pertemps qualifier at Chepstow, outrunning odds of 25/126.00 in the 13-runner field, emerging with great credit when finishing just ahead of now 133-rated Ikarak, a much younger, progressive rival.

Classic Concorde is 9lb lower here with 7lb claimer Harry Atkins in the saddle, putting him in with solid claims at the weights with conditions to suit, too.

Bangor-on-Dee, 16:00 - Back De Legislator @ 17/29.50

Nine-year-old gelding De Legislator is lightly raced and remains unexposed in only his sixth start over fences. He has won two from five appearances over the larger obstacles under Rules to date, but does need to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Windsor.

His latest run may be worth forgiving, and he can get back on track for a Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore team that have returned to form of late. The son of Shirocco is only 5lb higher than his last winning mark when returning from a 259-day break at Ayr in November, and has the scope for further progression, potentially still on an upward trajectory with proven stamina.

De Legislator was able to finish a creditable third to Grozni over an extended four miles at Kelso in his penultimate start, proving himself over the distance which should bode well for his chances in a testing extended 3m5f here.

In his sole point win, De Legislator beat a big field which included some familiar names. His former stablemate, the sadly ill-fated Snake Roll, finished in second before going on to finish third in a Grade Two novices' hurdle to Nemean Lion before his career was cut short.

Blue Fin, a dual winner under Rules so far, was in third, with Will Do, now representing Gigginstown House Stud for Gordon Elliott, in fourth, a horse who has shown plenty of ability since against tough opposition, achieving a rating of 134 with placed efforts in competitive Listed handicap chases.

In fifth was Thomas Mor, who was last seen finishing an excellent second to Kitzbuhel in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton, achieving a rating of 147 in the process with the scope for even further progression in future.

There's substance to some of De Legislator's form to date, and this is a challenge that appears likely to suit. He could have a bit in hand still from his current rating, as he's yet to be fully exposed, therefore makes the most appeal with his proven stamina a huge positive.

Bangor-on-Dee, 16:30 - Back Just Aidan @ 9/110.00

Just Aidan didn't make the best start over fences when last seen unseating at Taunton, but it could be worth giving him another chance, particularly considering he's a point winner out of a half-sister to multiple winning chasers, and is himself a half-brother to a chase winner in Danse Away.

The Harriet Dickin-trained gelding is a likeable performer who has shown to be capable of putting in great efforts at this level over hurdles in the past. He's only 2lb higher than his last hurdling win, therefore if he can transfer that level of form to chasing, he should be in with a solid chance at the weights.

The son of Diamond Boy will need to show improvement on his chasing debut and previous runs over hurdles this term, but it could be worth keeping the faith in him at a price of 9/110.00, as he is still quite lightly raced and has shown to possess enough ability to prevail in this class on a going day.

Kempton, 18:10 - Back Kingdom Come @ 10/34.33

Outsider of the field Kingdom Come hasn't been seen at this level since winning over course-and-distance in spring 2023 from a 1lb lower mark.

The Clive Cox-trained contender has been able to compete in tough races since, winning from a mark of 101 at Wolverhampton subsequently, being narrowly denied from 103 at Newcastle, and when third from that same rating behind Symbol Of Light last March.

The seven-year-old son of Kingman, who has three wins to his name at this venue, was an eyecatcher in defeat when last seen in November, finishing three-and-three-quarter-lengths behind Chancellor here when sporting first-time cheekpieces, which remain on.

He stayed on from the rear of the field at odds of 40/141.00, when far from disgraced behind the winner who has since landed Listed honours, been narrowly beaten by a top class performer in Holloway Boy, and, last Saturday, was just touched off when the 4/61.67 favourite for the Group Three Winter Derby at Lingfield.

From a workable mark of 96, Kingdom Come should be able to put in a bold bid in this field, capable of making his presence felt if ready to go following a 114-day break. He has run well and won when fresh in the past, and may represent value at the prices as he bids for a fifth career win.

Kempton, 20:10 - Back Tyger Bay @ 4/15.00

Likeable nine-year-old Tyger Bay was unfortunate to be narrowly denied at Chelmsford when last seen, just beaten by Justcallmepete when sent off at odds of 14/115.00 in a series final. He's 2lb higher now, but remains on a workable mark from a rating of 75 and should be able to be competitive if breaking well from the stalls.

The Conrad Allen-trained contender has run well at the track previously, is a course-and-distance winner, and has plenty in his favour as he bids to land a 14th win in his 83rd start.

Highly experienced, the son of Cable Bay usually puts in a competitive effort if able to get into a position to do so. He can be slowly away on occasion, which affects his chances late on, but, with a favourable trip, should put in another promising effort under Jack Gilligan.
