Ayr, 14:55 - Back Thequietman E/W @ 20/121.00
Thequietman is an interesting contender in his second start for Simon Waugh, with 3lb claiming Amie Waugh in the saddle once again. He didn't make any impression on yard debut at Hamilton last month, when sent off at odds of 125/1126.00, but may have needed that outing in his first run for new connections following a pulled up effort at Doncaster and an 87-day break, and could be capable of better dropping further in class.
Having shown some ability in the past, it may be too early to give up on Thequietman, who could make his presence felt in this company from a mark of 60. He hasn't shown form in recent outings but drops back down in distance over which he has placed on a couple of occas

Bet of the day: Bath, 15:15 - Back Pierian @ 7/24.50
In the Listed mile-and-three-quarter contest for fillies and mares at Bath, three-year-old filly Pierian is one to note under Tom Marquand.
The William Haggas-trained contender could have further improvement to come as she steps up in distance. She's by Palace Pier and out of Galileo mare Great Heavens, a sister to top class racehorse and stallion Nathaniel.
On debut, she was only narrowly denied by Sea The Storm before winning both of her subsequent runs. She was successful over a trip just shy of a mile-and-a-half here last month, finishing in front at odds of 11/43.75 on that occasion, sticking to the task well late on, and, over an extra couple of furlongs, could handle this step back up in class.
This requires further improvement on her form to date but the best could be yet to come from her over the staying trips and she may be worth keeping onside, still unexposed with potential.

Thurles, 17:20 - Back Cozone E/W @ 33/134.00
Matthew Smith-trained Cozone can be forgiven for his latest outing at Dundalk when failing to get off to the best of starts when a 100/1101.00 chance at the all-weather track. He's capable of better and had previously finished a creditable fourth over hurdles at Listowel.
The nine-year-old gelding has winning form on the level and could be well treated from a mark of 67 in this sphere. He hasn't run much on the Flat in recent years but has proven he still retains ability with wins over obstacles earlier this season, and was far from disgraced in a race that didn't necessarily pan out favourably for him at Down Royal earlier last month over an extended 2m2f.

Southwell, 18:00 - Back Casablanca Dream @ 3/14.00
No Nay Never filly Casablanca Dream performed with credit on handicap debut at Yarmouth when last seen, finishing a length third to Ariane Sky on that occasion. From a 1lb higher mark of 57 this time out, she could give another good account of herself with the benefit of experience in this sphere over a mile.
Entitled to continue improving having made only four starts to date, the Marco Botti-trained contender could be worth keeping the faith in as she bids to shed her maiden tag at the fifth time of asking under Marco Ghiani. She has shown she possesses ability and there could be plenty of further improvement to come from her.
