Joseph O'Brien has plenty of runners across two meetings in Ireland on Saturday and he also has a big chance of landing a nice prize at Longchamp in France...
Staunch has the smell of a winner at Gowran
13:00 - Stand Staunch
Stand Staunch was unfortunate to be brought down at the first flight on his racecourse debut over hurdles in August, but he bounced back from that bad experience to finish second in a maiden hurdle at Killarney last time. His jumping improved as the race went on and I'd be hopeful that it will be better again here. He looks to have a good chance.
14:10 - Cast Iron
Cast Iron has shown precious little so far and first-time cheekpieces will need to be transformative to get him competitive.
15:55 - Cerberus
Cerberus hasn't really got his act together over fences yet, but we'll be hoping for a better show from him over this longer trip.

16:30 - Slige Dala
Slige Dala made an encouraging chasing debut at Listowel a fortnight ago and should be suited by this longer trip. He'll need to improve to be competitive, but could well do so.
A lot of potential improvers at Killarney
13:25 - Onameridance and Comfort Zone
Onameridance showed promise on her debut at the Curragh and shaped as though this longer trip will suit. It wouldn't surprise if she improved enough to run well.
Comfort Zone is another that shaped well on his debut at the Curragh. There should be good improvement to come, but he might need more experience before he shows the full extent of his promise.
14:00 - So Fascinating
So Fascinating showed good improvement from her debut to finish fifth at Roscommon last time. She wasn't loving the track there and I'm hopeful this track might suit her a bit better. There should be more improvement to come from her.
14:35 - Sincerest and Albedo
Sincerest bolted up over this course and distance a couple of months ago, but was below par in two runs in the Racing League since. This is a big drop in class for her and hopefully she can get back on track.
Albedo shaped with promise a couple of times in handicaps, but will need to improve to go close. She had a little setback after her latest run, but seems in good shape now.
15:10 - Draconid
Draconid has shown some promise in both his starts in handicaps, but is going to have to find some improvement if he's going to win one of these.
15:45 - Powerful Aggie
Powerful Aggie ran well in her last two starts in the Racing League and this represents a good drop in class for her. While the slightly shorter trip isn't ideal, I'd be hopeful she'll be well up to competing in this company.
16:20 - Truce and Happywifehappylife

Truce ran her best race yet when a head second in a maiden at Galway last time. This shorter trip isn't ideal, but it looks like company she can acquit herself well in.
Happywifehappylife shaped with promise behind Truce at Galway last time when not getting the clearest run and should improve a nice bit from that experience. It wouldn't be a surprise if she improved enough to go close.
Patrick aiming to go one better than last year at Longchamp
16:00 - Patrick Sarsfield
Patrick Sarsfield ran a belter to finish second to Skalleti in this race last year and showed he retains his ability when a close second in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot earlier this season. He ran well to a point in the Irish Champion Stakes last time and this company will be more manageable for him. Rain will help his cause.
