Ascot, 13:15 - Katie Midwinter: Course form gives her a chance
Ed Walker-trained filly Midnight Tango has experience in Stakes company having performed with credit in multiple Group and Listed races, including when narrowly denied in the Group Three Commonwealth Cup Trial by Coppull here earlier this season, outrunning odds of 66/167.00.
That form was subsequently boosted as Coppull went on to perform with great credit in the Group One July Cup, and, although Midnight Tango hasn't built on that brilliant effort, this is a different challenge back against her own sex.
A likeable filly on her day who has noteworthy form at this track, the daughter of Night Of Thunder makes each-way appeal under Kieran Shoemark. She has proven herself in deeper waters previously and should be capable of making her presence felt.

Ascot, 13:50 - Timeform: C&D winner can go well again
Tuco Salamanca has been a real success story for connections, improving his Timeform rating upwards of 50lbs in the last 12 months or so, and he still appears to be getting better.
His last win came over this course and distance at the Shergar Cup meeting, proving himself just as effective on turf as the all-weather, and he ran an absolute stormer off a big weight when runner-up in the Ayr Gold Cup last time.
That was another personal best effort in the most testing ground he's encountered, producing a performance that suggests he's more than capable of holding his own in listed or pattern company. Tuco Salamanca goes well at this track and stands out at the weights moving out of handicap company - he's 5lb clear on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings - and this admirable four-year-old seems sure to launch another bold bid.

Newmarket, 14:10 - Mark Milligan: Drop in trip no issue
Top weight Evanesco heads the betting on the back of his win at Hamilton two starts back and his good fifth-place finish in a competitive handicap at Leopardstown last time, but I prefer the claims of Ernst Blofeld under talented 5lb claimer Harry Vigors.
Hamad Al Jehani's charge was a winner on the all-weather at Kempton back in the spring and ran a fine race to finish second to Valedictory in the Mallard at Doncaster last time over 1m 6f.
He'll have no issue with this drop back in trip and rates a decent bet at 7/24.50.

Ascot, 15:00 - Timeform: Deserves to resume winning ways
Division was a three-time winner last season, notably a listed event at York around this time last year, and he's arguably been unlucky not to add to his tally so far this year.
He very much caught the eye on his return over this course and distance in the Pavillion Stakes on his return, falling out of the stalls and coming from the worst position and only narrowly denied.
Division was no match for smart filly Venetian Sun in the Sandy Lane and Commonwealth Cup on his next two starts, but he's been far from disgraced in open Group 1 company since, producing a career-best effort in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville last time.
He came from further back than the winner on that occasion, but was again only beaten narrowly, not getting a run through until it was too late. The return to this track, which is tailormade for his run style, is a big plus, and he can take advantage of this step back into Group 3 company.

Redcar, 15:20 - Mark Milligan: Waterman can remain unbeaten
Redcar stages its feature race of the season on Saturday, the £150k Two Year Old Trophy, and there are a couple that set a good standard on form, namely Revels and Satellite of Love.
The former was a winner of a Goodwood nursery before seemingly taking his form up a notch when fourth in the Group 2 Mill reef Stakes at Newbury last time. However, whether he's quite as good as that makes him seem is open to debate and he's not for me at 2/13.00.
Similarly, Satellite of Love showed improved form when second in a valuable sales race at Doncaster last time, though he is another that hasn't been missed in the betting.
My preference is for the unbeaten Thames Waterman, who has looked a fine prospect on both his starts to date and won a Wolverhampton novice with plenty in hand last time.
He'd been gelded prior to that start, having also won on his debut at the same course back in the spring, and there's nothing in his pedigree that suggests he shouldn't be equally effective on turf.

Ascot, 15:35 - Katie Midwinter: Mind a Golden E/W bet
Outsider of the field Golden Mind shouldn't be ruled out at a massive price for Richard and Peter Fahey. He's currently rated 95 with 3lb claimer Warren Fentiman in the saddle, putting him in with an each-way chance if putting his recent run of form behind him.
He has struggled to compete in big field handicaps in recent months, but did finish a good fourth at odds of 33/134.00 from an 8lb higher mark when behind The Wizard Of Eye here in May, following on from a close second to a progressive filly in Bellarchi at Musselburgh.
Earlier this season, the five-year-old gelding proved he still retains plenty of ability. He has course form and is 4lb below his last winning mark, therefore a case can be made despite his latest form figures and he may be worth keeping onside from a workable rating.

Redcar, 15:55 - Alan Dudman: Ground in his favour
We'd usually be seeing Elarak strut his stuff around Newmarket and he was twice a winner at HQ last term over 1m and 7f. But with dry conditions, and likely decent ground (if they haven't gone beserk with the watering), he'll have no excuses on that front.
He hasn't sparkled this year in terms of a winning, but several placed efforts in good company means 5/16.00 looks too big.
A neck second on the near side in the Buckingham Palace at Royal Ascot off a mark of 103, giving the winner 9lbs, was some effort. Likewise his subsequent runner-up spot to Prince Of India at Newmarket.
The run against Prince of India was over 6f, a trip too sharp for him these days, and last time out he was thrashed by Catullus at Newbury. But not much was asked of him in behind and he was given a gentle ending in the race.
One of his main market rivals, Sondad, is enjoying a great season, but he's been sprinting and I much prefer Elarak over 7f with the ground in his favour.
