Saturday marks the end of the UK jumps season and, with Dan Skelton being crowned champion trainer, I'm hoping he can cement that position with a win in the first race on Sandown's Bet365 Gold Cup day card.
This is an interesting fillies' juvenile handicap to kick off the day's proceedings, and I'm not completely convinced about Jane Williams' La Luna Artista, who seems short enough at 2/1 having to lug top weight around a stiff track such as this, while the trainer's string have hardly been pulling up trees in the last couple of weeks too.
The unexposed Made U Blush is a compelling alternative and she's made a fine start to life over hurdles for the Skelton team having been a fair handicapper on the flat for Jonathan Portman.
The daughter of Masar has won her last two starts, the latest in the Scottish Triumph Hurdle at Musselburgh and she's firmly on the up for a yard that continues to bang in the winners left, right and centre.
Further down the weights, Harry Derham's Siorai looks interesting and she may be the one to give the big two most to think about.

It's back to the flat action for the next bet and I can't resist a small each-way punt on the ex-Aussie Henlein, who hasn't run for well over a year but is now in the care of Kevin Ryan and makes his UK debut under top weight in this 7f handicap.
Granted, plenty has to be taken on trust given that we haven't seen this one in such a long time, but connections must still think he has a future if they're prepared to send him halfway around the world while persevering with him into his four-year-old season.
He only has a sole win to his name, that coming on debut, but it's well worth noting that he has Group 1 placed form, which rather stands out as he drops into handicap company for his first outing on these shores.
The selection has also been given a breathing operation ahead of this outing and talented apprentice Jack Callan eases some of the burden by taking 3lb off.
It's entirely possible Henlein will need this outing, but with four places available on the Sportsbook, he's worth an each-way dart.

Solness went desperately close to giving this column a winner at double-figure prices at Aintree last time and I'm siding with him again to make amends as he drops back to 2m in the Grade 1 Celebration Chase.
Joseph O'Brien's charge gave a bold front-running display in the Melling Chase and was only collared late in the day by the stronger stayer Grey Dawning, who wore him down on the run-in.
This is probably Solness' best trip and if he gets into a rhythm on the front end, particularly down the back over the railway fences, he could get plenty of these out of their comfort zones, though he may have to shake off the attentions of Thistle Ask to do so.
If the selection can get the better of that particular battle he'll have every chance of lowering the colours of Jonbon, who comes here in search of his third win in this contest having finished runner-up in it last season.
It's hard to make strong cases for the other quartet and much of this race will likely depend on who wins the outright battle up front, with my faith firmly in Solness from that perspective.
