12:45 Newmarket - Silver Ghost has solid record at HQ
Newmarket are hoping to beat the heat with a morning start to their card and Emma Lavelle's filly Silver Ghost looks the most interesting runner in the three handicaps on offer.
One of her two wins last season came on the Rowley Mile and her 'Horses For Courses' flag indicates she's building a solid record at Newmarket as she's been placed in both starts over the same seven furlongs this year.
Improving from her reappearance, Silver Ghost looked unlucky not to win her latest start when beaten a neck by Superposition after being left with too much to do, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag.

14:02 Newcastle - Based an impressive winner last time
'Hot Trainer' William Knight has kept Based almost exclusively to all-weather tracks and he looks capable of following an impressive win at Wolverhampton earlier in the month with victory at Newcastle.
Seemingly finding softer conditions against him on his turf debut the time before, Based got back on the up in convincing fashion last time, earning the 'Horse In Focus' and 'Sectional Timing' flags.
In a race run at just a modest gallop, he did well to pick up the better placed favourite and drew clear late on for a two-length win over Musical Soldier. He's capable of defying a 6 lb higher mark here.

19:30 Hamilton - Woohoo can make up for unlucky defeat
Jim Goldie rarely goes away from Hamilton empty handed and with two runners in this five-furlong contest, his mare Woohoo takes the eye at the foot of the weights with the 'Horses For Courses' flag.
She was a course-and-distance winner during a hot spell of form last year, winning four times in all, and was successful under today's rider Lauren Young again at Musselburgh in April.
The partnership should have won at the same course again last time but Woohoo didn't get a clear run and was beaten a neck by Right And Exact, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag and giving her definite claims here.
