Staxton was a [7.0] winner for Alan Dudman yesterday, and he is looking to follow up with two more selections at Sandown for Friday's card...

"She is now up to 84, but the most important parts are that she wins on quick ground and is best at 7f - both of which she'll have for Friday evening."

Back Gypsy Whisper @ [4.2] in the 16:35 at Sandown

Kingston can triumph for Knight from top weight

14:55 Sandown - Back Kingston Kurrajong Win and Place @ [10.0]

The 14:55 has an open feel to it, bar last time out winner Mon Choix - but I won't be in a mad rush to take the 11/10 on him.

This 1m handicap is a bit of a headgear benefit; with no less than four horses switching to aids for the first time. But I think we can play Win and Place here with William Knight's Kingston Kurrajong. He's a solid customer who should run his race.

With 12 runners, his price at around [10.0] is appealing considering he acts on quick ground (and has won on good to firm). He also wants a strongly run 1m, plus he races from a nice mark these days.

Last time he fared well when finishing second in a race at Newbury, and the form looks fair as they went a reasonable pace. He is the eldest in the field as a 7yo and off top weight, he looks overpriced given the conditions.

Whisper to back up course and distance win for Buick

16:35 Sandown - Back Gypsy Whisper @ [4.2]

For once I am going to pass on a Godolphin runner. As tempting as Arabic Charm is from a good-looking mark on handicap debut, I've not had much luck with these Saeed Bin Suroor horses for a while and they often flatter to deceive. Admittedly she improved at Windsor, but she doesn't make bet material.

Gypsy Whisper does however, and whilst she is towards the top of the market at around [3.50], she won with a bit in hand over course and distance last time to suggest a repeat bid could be on the cards.

Cheekpieces were applied for the first time then and she showed a nice turn of foot. She is now up to 84, but the most important parts are that she wins on quick ground and is best at 7f - both of which she'll have for Friday evening. I expect jockey William Buick to race her fairly handily to unleash her potent turn of foot late.
