"Having fitness onside is a major plus, as four of the seven are coming back from breaks."
Alan Dudman fired in a decent winner with Top Rank's success at 8.07/1 yesterday. He rounds off his week looking to end with a profit with two bets at Fontwell for Sunday...
Capone ready for new distance under Sheehan
13:40 Fontwell - Back Capone @ 5.04/1
The step up in distance looks sure to play to the strengths of Charlie Mann's Capone for the 2m3f contest at 13:40, and he looks the bet in terms of taking on the favourite Pagero.
Capone finished third last time from a poor position off the pace at Market Rasen over 2m, the winner and second were up with the speed for the whole contest, so it was a decent effort considering he had to make up ground from a lot further back.
He has often shaped like he wants today's sort of distance, and that certainly was the case last winter when he stayed on well at Wincanton, so expect his jockey Gavin Sheehan to have a nice pace to run at to use his stamina.
Good ground suits and he can win from his current mark of 123.
Schnabel a good price to challenge the favourite
15:50 Fontwell - Back Schnabel @ 4.03/1
The market will revolve around the Paul Nicholls-trained favourite here Easyrun De Vassy, but there isn't a lot of mileage in his price at around 2.506/4.
He scored over course and distance last time, but it wasn't much of a race, and it might be worth taking a chance on his market rival Schnabel.
The selection finished second at Uttoxeter following a switch to Tom Symonds, but he made no mistake when bolting up at the same Midlands venue by 6l when last seen. His jumping was excellent too.
Having fitness onside is a major plus, as four of the seven are coming back from breaks.
Good ground suits Schnabel as he bounced off a decent surface at Wincanton two years ago.
