Today's Horse Racing Tips: Two handicappers at big prices for Wednesday's York action

Alqifaar ran well for Alan yesterday finishing second at a large BSP, and he's back for his Wednesday picks with two horses at double figures to consider at York....
"The mark took a bit of a hit from 92 to 102, but he looks well up to this sort of company with the way he travels."
Back Volcanic Sky Win @ 15.014/1 and Place BSP in the 15:45 at York
Overdose relative to fire at a huge price for Knavesmire opener
13:45 York - Back Mubaalegh Win 40.039/1 and Place BSP
It might appear that I am on some sort of retainer with Hamdan Al Maktoum horses this week, as my third pick in the last few days with blue and and white silks makes bet material. This time at a big price.
Mubaalegh was available to back at 20/1 on the Sportsbook on Tuesday and there was £28 matched to be matched yesterday afternoon for a huge 40.039/1 on the Exchange too. Which gets me interested with the Place market.
His backstory is an interesting one as he ran in some smart level races in France for John Hammond. His first start for new trainer Marcus Tregoning was at Ascot 24 days ago, and there was a lot of encouragement to take from that comeback in a good handicap.
He travelled quite nicely but looked a bit rusty when the jockey asked for an effort. Mubaalegh was also tight for a bit of room between runners but he wasn't beaten by a huge margin and yet the handicapper has dropped him 3lb to 94.
With winning form over 6f in good to soft ground across the channel, he should be able to deal with any of the rain forecast.
His dam is also a half-sister to the "Budapest Bullet" Overdose, for fans of the Hungarian legend like me.
Volcanic can be too hot for his rivals under Murphy
15:45 York - Back Volcanic Sky Win @ 15.014/1 and Place BSP
Whilst I like Darain and Kameko for the Group races, they are easily found in the market and I am happy to play another big price in what looks a cracking 2m handicap.
My idea of the winner is Volcanic Sky - a horse who possesses a high cruising speed. He can be backed at 13.012/1 on the Exchange and holds a big chance for Oisin Murphy and Saeed bin Suroor.
He tanked through a race at Kempton last time over 2m to dot up by five lengths, and that was his first attempt at the distance. The mark took a bit of a hit from 92 to 102, but he looks well up to this sort of company with the way he travels.
Tactically he seems versatile, as he does with the ground. He can improve again and I wouldn't be surprised if this horse has been highlighted as a potential Melbourne Cup candidate in the future, he certainly seems to have pace for a stayer.
This is also an EXTRA PLACE SPECIAL race on the Sportsbook.
