I'm continuing on the Tim Easterby theme - which was prevalent in my last stint, and the trainer's Obee Jo should go close in an open looking sprint handicap.

He ran with credit last time over Newcastle's stiff 5f, and stayed on with purpose late after missing the break.

Obee Jo was stuck behind a wall of horses in that race for a long time, whilst his stablemate Wade's Magic didn't do him any favours at all ahead of him. He clearly will appreciate the step up to 6f this afternoon on that evidence, and yet the handicapper has dropped him another 1lb to 59.

He landed a race on good ground last term at Thirsk and he'll be receiving plenty of weight from his rivals.

The Fiddler can do it again at Redcar

The Fiddler has been a source of frustration this season. He looked destined for better things last term when winning twice at Redcar (including this race), but he hasn't added to his tally in three runs in 2020.

However, one of those we can ignore at Newbury, as the soft ground had turned against him. He likes quick conditions, and with another sunny day expected, the surface should aid his smooth travelling style.

Last time out he bumped into a pair of 3yos when finishing third at Yarmouth, but he certainly isn't a horse to give up on as he does possess a good turn of foot for this grade.

He's 2-2 at Redcar and his trainer Chris Wall is operating at 33% in the last fortnight. He can get back to winning ways.
