Youngster can make his presence felt against more experience duo
15:40 Lingfield - Back Asadjumeirah @ BSP
Asadjumeirah was well supported for his Ripon debut, and whilst he was well beaten in that race, he showed a degree of promise for a yard whose runners tend to improve for having the experience.
Ripon isn't an ideal course with the undulations for a first run, and he showed his inexperience too by missing the break from the gate and racing wide. The winner made the running in that race and has subsequently performed well in a York nursery.
The selection has a fast pedigree with a pair of 2yo winners in there, and he'll need to be pretty good, as Night On Earth and Wings Of A Dove both hold ratings in the high 80s - although the latter has had quite a few starts. I am hoping these two with their figures can make the market and give us a bit of a price at around 6.05/1.
His trainer Owen Burrows has sent out some nice horses this season with his strongest bunch of juveniles thus far, and Asadjumeirah can show a bit more today.
Snow can enjoy the run of the race under champion jockey
17:00 Wolverhampton - Back Fresh Snow @ BSP
The 7f handicap comprises of a batch of 3yos taking on some older horses, and I like the look of one of the unexposed runners in the shape of Fresh Snow.
She was turned over finishing second last time over course and distance at a very short price - but she was also matched in defeat at 1.011/100.
I don't think there is too much wrong with her attitude, as she looked like a winner for the future with a good run behind Tinker Toy at Salisbury on debut. Tinker Toy finished third in a 0-105 after that from 90, so there's every reason to expect a bit more from the selection this evening from 74.
The filly also looks like she'll get further than today's trip, and with there being a fair bit of pace to the race with Colonel Slade and Gold Zabeel, it could be run to suit for Oisin Murphy to pounce late on.
