Today's Horse Racing Tips: Have faith with Busker and Haggas on Thursday

Trainer William Haggas
William Haggas has a good chance in the Galtres with Sea Of Faith

Volcanic Sky traded at 1.3130/100 in-play for Alan yesterday but finished out of the money. Hopefully his two Thursday selections can go closer at York...

Sir Busker can make amends after Goodwood horror show

14:45 York - Back Sir Busker @ BSP

I've been following Sir Busker around all season and he still can't escape my clutches as he lines up in a super 1m handicap for Thursday - and with 20 runners it's an EXTRA PLACE SPECIAL on the Sportsbook.

This horse has been in my good books having tipped him at double figures to win at Royal Ascot, but also he appeared in the bad books following a wayward second in the Bunbury Cup as he veered across the track; not only ruining my chances of a win, but also my other horse in the race Spanish City, who was completely marked out of the game following that run.

Goodwood and the Golden Mile saw Sir Busker have an absolute shocker, but those sort of things happen at the track as he never got a run despite being on the bridle - so we go again.

He runs from 107 again here, and this horse still isn't finished in these valuable handicaps. He likes a big field with pace to run at and pick up late in the end. Eleven might not be a bad draw as he can have a choice from the centre whether to tack across to the stands' side.

Hopefully, we can gain some compensation with him.

Have faith in Haggas filly for Listed success

15:45 York - Back Sea Of Faith @ BSP

The William Haggas filly Sea Of Faith looked one for some big races last season but she hovered below the top level and ended her campaign with a career best at Salisbury in a good quality fillies' handicap win.

I got the feeling that her trainer was keen to take the softly softly approach with her, rather than pitch her into some tougher events, as she was mentioned as a potential Irish Oaks contender. She also held an entry for the Arc at one stage.

And whilst starting out for the season for the first run is a negative, she has a bit of class about her to be a force at today's Listed level - and it could prove to be a stepping stone for bigger things.

Her stamina is her strong point and she relished 1m4f last term. Her price of 9/2 on the Sportsbook seems fair enough and I am looking forward to seeing her on Thursday.
