Alan Dudman ended his last stint on a high with a winner, and he is looking to start his latest week in the chair with success from his two selections at Catterick...
Look out for Louis to charge home
13:45 Catterick - Back Look Out Louis @ 6.611/2
Tim Easterby's horses have been running well for the most part of the season, and following a highly productive July, the yard is holding its form well with 14 winners since August 3rd and another treble on Sunday at Ripon.
My column is a bit "Easterby heavy" today with two selections from his team, and everything is in place for a big run from Look Out Louis at around 6.05/1.
He was a huge eye-catcher at the track over 6f in July when he missed the break but flew home from a poor position. He didn't run too badly either last time over course and distance behind his stablemate Parys Mountain.
Today is a drop in class for the 4yo yet his mark is falling down. He is certainly weighted to strike from 74.
King to lead his rivals a merry dance for in-form Easterby
17:20 Catterick - Back Dance King @ 7.06/1
It's no surprise to hear I'll be playing another one of Easterby's horses in the closing amateur riders' handicap. Step forward Dance King at 7.06/1.
This will be his 73rd career start and is the ideal sort of ride for these races with his experience.
His first outing of the season came last time over course and distance, and following a poor 2019, it represented something of a return to form. It's probably pushing it to say he's thrown in from his rating of 65 (rated nearly 90 in 2018), due to the fact he is a 10yo and I don't expect him to find masses of improvement. However, if he replicates that effort he can go close.
Today's 1m4f is his best trip and he shouldn't have any bother with the ground. This race also is an EXTRA PLACE SPECIAL on the Sportsbook.
