Rhys Williams was on the mark with his best bet yesterday and is back today with one selection at York.
"He’s now on a 7lb lower mark than when finishing third to Pendleton over C&D in May and I think he will likely lead the far side."
Run well on both starts at this track
Zargun was understandably outclassed in the King George at Goodwood last time and following a break, he returns at a track where he's run well on both starts.
The first of those two runs was over six furlongs and led the field down the middle of the track. He was joined and looked to be headed slightly with two furlongs to go but kept on battling under pressure and was beaten a length into third.
He was dropped back to five furlongs for his next start on soft ground, the same scenario that he faces today, and raced in a share of the lead with Sunday Sovereign for much of the race before they were both picked off late on by Pendleton, who Zargun faces on 10lb better terms today.
Zargun ran quite well in Listed company on his next start before his form took a dip but I think there were reasons for some of those performances. Three starts ago at Ascot, he wasn't ridden positively enough and could never get involved on the far side while two starts ago at Goodwood he didn't appear to handle the track and raced away from the favoured near side rail.
He's now on a 7lb lower mark than when finishing third to Pendleton over C&D in May and I think he will likely lead the far side in a race that isn't packed with early speed (Jabbarockie and Mid Winster may take them along on the near side).
He was inconsistent when racing for former connections so it might be that he's a difficult horse to predict but I think these circumstances give Zargun a better chance than the market suggests and any 14/1 or bigger appeals.
