Another agonising defeat yesterday with Sun Power at 6.86/1 losing out by head, thus denying us again a near 20/1 payout as Nirodha romped home.

We've had nine winners in seven days, with six seconds.

We have nine runners in the field for our opening bet, and that means a perfect shape for an each-way double. Considering all these seconds, it's a wise move.

Bollin Ace is a big price on the Sportsbook at 11/1, and he deserves to be on this season's form as he has shown nothing in three starts - including a fall at Wetherby on his reappearance.

However, he could be thrown in off his mark of 117 and he didn't run too badly against the hardy Nuts Well in a fine handicap at the track last winter. That was a 0-150.

He was rated 134 over hurdles, so hopefully he can show a bit more today. He's worth chancing to hit the frame in terms of a place considering the odds.

Watch out for veteran Watchable

One of the great aspects of racing is the longevity of the sprinters. Watchable is at the back-end of his career, but what a servant he has been for connections as he gets ready for his 93rd career start this evening.

He was a popular runner on the Sportsbook too with a hefty move from 12/1 to 13/2, so we can't flag up the 12s!

With a good draw in six, that should enable him to get closer to the favoured near side even though it's a small field and he ran well over course and distance when finishing third off 95 in November.
