Travelled strongly on point debut

True Testimony is overpriced at Punchestown
Those with experience under rules in the closing bumper at Punchestown hardly set an insurmountable standard to beat and I think the market is underestimating the chance of a filly with experience in the pointing field.
True Testimony made her debut at Dromahane and showed a good level of ability in defeat. She was always in a prominent position on the inside and jumped to the front at five out. She was joined by Bellas Bridge turning the final bend and they quickly drew clear of the field, with True Testimony travelling best running to two out. However, she didn't pick up as well as Bellas Bridge under pressure and couldn't quite match that rival on the run-in while finishing a long way clear of the third.
She was bought for €120,000 following that defeat and now makes her rules debut for Pat Fahy. The manner in which True Testimony travelled through the race suggests that the switch to a bumper should suit and I thought she looked a bit green at times so there could be improvement to come now that she's gained experience too.
It may be that she will be a little in need of the run on her first start after a 177-day break but I think she has the ability to be competitive in a race of this quality and any 10/111.00 or bigger appeals.
