"He certainly has no problem with this ground whereas it’s a concern for the majority of his rivals."
Rhys Williams has analysed Wednesday's racing and has one selection at Lingfield.
Conditions look to favour him more than others
Lingfield 14:10: Macho Mover 1pt win 5/1
Macho Mover started his career with Mick Channon and showed that he handles very testing ground when finishing third over 1m4f at Ffos Las off 61.
He moved to Eoin Doyle shortly after that with the main aim of going jumping and, with blinkers applied, he won a couple of races over hurdles on ground with plenty of cut in it.
His form towards the end of his time with Doyle started to decline but I think that was due to him going chasing and, although he was beaten 32 lengths, he ran well for a long way at Navan back over hurdles two starts ago.
Macho Mover's final run for Doyle came on the flat over 2m at Dundalk. He was wide throughout and was outpaced in the closing stages, just plugging on under pressure to finish eleventh beaten 8½ lengths.
He's now made a positive trainer switch to Olly Murphy but I think the real key to his chance today is the heavy ground. He certainly has no problem with this ground whereas it's a concern for the majority of his rivals.
Tin Fandango was withdrawn due to the ground at Newbury a couple of years ago when it was heavy and hasn't raced on anything softer than good to soft. Denable ran ok on soft ground in one bumper but was well held in another couple on that ground and was a non runner at Yarmouth in May due to the ground when it was good to soft. Tinsmith hasn't raced on anything softer than good and Gavlar has been well held on four starts on soft ground and hasn't raced on heavy.
Tilsworth Lukey is the only rival proven in these conditions but his tendency to hang left under pressure is a concern and he's racing from out of the handicap.
Macho Mover doesn't do anything quickly but his performances in testing ground in Ireland and at Ffos Las show that he will just keep plodding on when on a going day and that may be enough in this race with his mark having dropped to 11lb lower than when third at Ffos Las. Any 4/1 or bigger appeals.
