Court Dreaming was a 7.413/2 winner for Alan Dudman yesterday, and he is hoping to follow up with a pair of bets at good prices at Haydock on Friday...
Focus on Easterby's Hyper to land the money
13:45 Haydock - Back Hyperfocus @ 9.08/1
Testing ground will be the order of the day at Haydock, and that shouldn't bother Hyperfocus - who has a fine record at the track with the mud flying around his ears.
In fact, he holds a near perfect record here when soft or heavy with three victories and a second from four starts. On that alone he is worth an each-way chance.
He's largely consistent too, and perhaps a victim of holding his form too well as he has been rated with a mark of 90 for most of his career.
Often a regular in the big sprints, he ran well in the Great St Wilfrid and wasn't beaten too far in the Ayr Silver Cup at the Western meeting.
Hyperfocus won over course and distance last month, and that was a stronger grade. He has a bit of speed to and likes to get on with it, so he could be one to trade back your stake reasonably early.
Hiss looks just right for a return to form at Haydock
14:48 Haydock - Back Just Hiss @ 12.011/1
The Easterby project will continue (good name for a band) with the yard's Just Hiss who looks overpriced for a drop in class. The stable also have Mikmak in the field - but he's an infrequent winner.
Just Hiss is down to his lowest mark of the season from 84 and he is having his sights lowered from a 0-105 when last seen at the track.
Tactically I am not quite sure what to expect, as he used to make the running in the past, but he seems to be missing the break and darting out to his left. That didn't stop him from winning at Ripon in the summer, but he should be okay running at a left-handed track for Friday.
He has placed form in heavy and I am hoping he can hit the frame for a yard that has enjoyed an excellent campaign.
