Rory McIlroy is the favourite to win next week's US PGA Championship after sealing his first tour win for 18 months at the Wells Fargo Championship.
He was a 21.020/1 shot at the outset at Quail Hollow where he held off competition from second-placed Abraham Ancer, with Viktor Hovland and Keith Mitchell tied for third. The Irishman said he thought he benefited from the presence of spectators at the North Carolina course.

Former-champion Justin Thomas 17.016/1, John Rahm 18.017/1 and Jordan Spieth 19.5 are also leading contenders while 2020 winner Collin Morikawa is 36.035/1.
