Frenchman can secure his card in style

A trio of South Africans chanced at huge odds

As highlighted in this week's Qatar Masters preview, this is the last counting event on the DP World Tour and three of my four picks are offering around the 116 mark in the Race to Dubai standings, so playing privileges are on the line.
First up is the man who currently sits in 113th place - Jeong weon Ko.
Ranking first for both Scrambling and Strokes Gained: Around the Green, France's Jeong weon Ko may have already done enough to keep his card with his seventh-place finish at the Andalucia Masters last week in Spain.
That's his best performance on the DP World Tour since he finished fourth at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open last December.
He battled through the tough early conditions admirably last week so a slightly breezier week than the one forecasted may have been in his favour. But he still looks worth chancing at a huge price.
Three of the last four winners have this event were playing here for the first time, so the fact that he's making his Doha debut can't be construed as a negative.
If he can kick on and make the cut this week with his card all but assured, he'll feel like he's running free over the weekend.
Place order to lay 8u @ 10.09/1 & 12u @ 2.01/1
At 126th in the standings, South Africa's Deon Germishuys needs a really good week to keep his playing privileges but there were signs last week that it could be on the cards.
The 24-year-old raced to five-under-par through just eight holes of last week's Andalucia Masters before he lost his way and eventually finished tied for 66th . At a humongous price, however, I'm happy to chance him.
He impressed at the KLM Open back in May when finishing third and like all my picks for the column this week, he's playing here for the first time.
Place order to lay 8u @ 10.09/1 & 12u @ 2.01/1
The 2021 South African Open winner, Daniel van Tonder, has been disappointing for much of the year and he too sits outside the top-116.
He finished third in the opening event of the season - the Joburg Open - and he finished fifth at the Italian Open in May, but a largely disappointing campaign has seen him slip to 120th.
He's drinking in the Last Chance Saloon this week but he's a multiple winner ho might just take to the venue.
Place order to lay 8u @ 10.09/1 & 12u @ 2.01/1
As highlighted in the preview, South Africans have a very fine record at Doha so for my fourth and final pick I'm chancing a third South African and one that's been in deplorable form of late too!
Ockie Strydom has missed nine straight cuts, which is why he's trading at 1000.0999/1 but it's worth highlighting that he put up form figures reading W-63-MC-MC in-between victories in the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December and at the Singapore Classic in February.
He then finished fourth at the Johnson Workwear Open following a tied 61st and another missed cut, a month after his win in Singapore.
He's in poor form but that hasn't stopped him from winning previously so as a South African debutant I'm happy to throw a few highly speculative pounds in his direction.
Place order to lay 8u @ 10.09/1 & 12u @ 2.01/1
