The Punter: Smalley can make a big impression
Steve Rawlings: "In search of his first PGA Tour title, the 29-year-old North Carolina resident, Alex Smalley, ticks a number of strong trends boxes, although he's in better current form than the majority of winners.
"His three-under-par 68 at the Bermuda Championship in blustery conditions on Sunday, which saw him climb 10 places up into a tie for third, was only bettered by Camilo Vilegas on the day, and that wasn't his only high finish of late.
"Smalley missed the cut at the Bank of Utah Championship in his penultimate start but prior to that he'd finished fourth in the Baycurrent Classic in Japan.
"He has inconsistent course form figures reading MC-5-44-MC but the top five finish in 2022 is a big plus and he ranked as high as fourth for Greens In Regulation and seventh for Putting Average last week in Bermuda.
"All things considered, I was more than happy to chance him at 48.047/1."

Each-Way Picks: Back Whaley to continue strong run
Dave Tindall: "If looking at current form, few in the field can match Vince Whaley's recent run. 'Recent' probably undersells him as he's been churning out the good results for months. Whaley posted third place in the Sanderson Farms Championship on his second start of the Fall Series and matched that finish with another top three at last week's Bermuda Championship.
"His short game looked particularly tidy in the strong winds at Port Royal (4th Scrambling, 9th Putting Average) and that was Whaley's third top four in his last 10 starts. Whaley went to Georgia Tech and now lives in Atlanta so tournaments in Georgia are home games...
"It took him a little while to hit his straps in this tournament (65-MC-63 in his first three visits) but in the last two years he's really found a way to score. In 2023 a third round 64 helped him finish 13th and last year, with that big entourage in tow, he improved to eighth, going one lower on Saturday with a 63."

Big Price Tips: Chandler the current form pick
Steve Rawlings: "From a current form perspective, my second selection, Chandler Phillips, demonstrated his wellbeing as recently as last week.
"Sitting at 139th in the FedEx Cup Standings, the 28-year-old Texan needed something special to save his card and he produced that last week, climbing up to 92nd in the rankings with a solo second behind Adam Schenk in the Bermuda Championship.
"With the top 100 maintaining their PGA Tour playing privileges, Phillips now looks safe, regardless of how he performs in this, but there's every reason to believe he can back up last week's efforts and contend again.
"Playing without the stress of trying to keep his card should be huge plus, as is the fact that he finished 11th here on debuts 12 months ago."

RSM Classic 2025: Course and current form stats
Course Form Selection:
Fifth here last year and with two previous second-place finishes at Sea Island, Mackenzie Hughes simply cannot be ignored at a big price. True, the Canadian missed the cut on his last two appareances but he finished seventh at the Procore prior to that and, his record at this venue, means he's once to snap up.
