Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings team news
Delhi are shaping up for a disaster. They have lost their opening two and are yet to replace the one elite bowler they had in their squad - Lungi Ngidi. It's a all a bit weird. Jhye Richardson is seemingly not fit but Anrich Nortje has returned. Shai Hope is an injury doubt. Prithvi Shaw could get a game as DC look to solve batting woes.
Possible XI: Warner, Shaw, M Marsh, Pant, Stubbs, Porel, Axar, Kuldeep, Mukesh, Khaleel/L Yadav (subs), Nortje
Chennai are looking strong - even more so with the news that the final will be played on their spin-friendly home ground. Shivam Dube is coming in or out for Mustafizur or Matheesha Pathirana.
Probable XI: Gaikwad, Ravindra, Rahane, Mitchell, Dube/Pathirana (subs), Rizvi, Jadeja, MS Dhoni, D Chahar, Despande, Mustafizur
Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings pitch report
There's not much form guide to go on for Vizag. In the Syed Musthaq there were two games played across a seven-day period so those can't be considered relevant. A T20i in November saw India chase 208 to beat Australia. A T20i the year before saw India defend 179 against South Africa. Both teams for 190 is 21/103.10.
Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings match odds
It's a surprise to see a crack Chennai outfit not shorter than 1.728/11 for this one. They should win relatively comfortably.
Anything sub 1.705/7 was marked on our tissue lists for Chennai so it's reasonable to reckon they are value. Delhi look like a mess and seem to be resigned to a poor season given their inactivity in the player market.
Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings Exchange strategy
If the Vizag pitch is as good as the last match played there we do need to bear in mind the potential for a drift in the Chennai price. The market could overreact to a score of 180-190 for Delhi. Mind you, it's not likely there's much room in the Chennai price - maybe a point on the sp?
But we would be confident Chennai would chase anything here. A big score for DC, although unlikely given Chennai bowling, is a greater pointer to a flat deck rather than a wrecking of the formboook.
Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings player bets
David Warner has been boosted to 13/53.60 with Sportsbook for top DC bat and he's winning at a rate just shy of 43%. Ruturaj Gaikwad is boosted to the same but his win rate is only 19%. MS Dhoni has a fifty on this ground so we note the 12/113.00 available.
