Trinbago Knight Riders v St Kitts & Nevis Patriots team news

Trinbago are trying to roll back the years with the selection of old stagers like Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine. They look to be heavily reliant on Nic Pooran and Rilee Rossouw for runs.

With the ball Matheesha Pathiarana is unavailable due to the Asia Cup. Noor Ahmed could deputise, which is a strange pick as they already boast Narine and Akeal Hosein as spin options.

Possible XI: Guptill, Deyal, Pooran, Rossouw, Pollard, Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Narine, Akeal, Noor, Seales

Patriots may only have Dewald Brevis available for one or two games before he leaves for Australia duty. Ambati Rayudu could be crucial in the middle-order but success or failure is probably down to Evin Lewis, Sherfane Rutherford and Dominic Drakes.

Watch out for all-rounder Kofi James. Afghan bowler Izharulhaq may nor may not be available due to the Asia Cup. George Linde, the South African, may get a game instead.

Possible XI: Lewis, Fletcher, Brevis, Rayudu, Rutherford, da Silva, Cariah, Drakes, Cottrell, Izharulhaq

Trinbago Knight Riders v St Kitts & Nevis Patriots pitch report

11 of the last 15 first-innings have busted 160 at the Darren Sammy Stadium. Eight have been won by the team batting first so there's no evidence yet of a toss bias. St Lucia busted more than 200 against Royals and playing the side batting first to go as big again could be available around 4.507/2.

Trinbago Knight Riders v St Kitts & Nevis Patriots match odds

Trinbago are short favourites at 1.584/7. Patriots, who have been no slouches and will back themselves for a second title in three years, are 2.6813/8.

We are far from convinced that Trinbago are the real deal and they have been priced on what they achieved from 2015 to 2020 when they won four titles.

Shocks and chaos are hardly unusual in this tournament and the Patriots can at least trade as favourites, particularly if they get first batting use on a road.

Trinbago Knight Riders v St Kitts & Nevis Patriots player bets

There's a batting order bet to take advantage of for this one. Mark Deyal has opened in the past and TKR look short of reliable options in that position. Take the 20/121.00 about Deyal top scoring with Sportsbook. Pooran is 7/24.50 if you want to go on form. For Patriots Brevis is 3/14.00 and Rayudu 13/27.50, the sort of price we'd have been all over in IPL but let's see where he bats first.

Recommended bets

(0.25pts) Back Mark Deyal top TKR bat 20/121.00

(1pts) Back Patriots batting first 2.6813/8
