LA Knight Riders v San Francisco Unicorns
Wednesday 19 July, 01:30
TV: Live on BT Sport
LA Knight Riders team news
Knight Riders have lost both games and they were bowled out for just 50 against MI New York last time out. They comfortably look the weakest team in the competition.
They should be boosted by Jason Roy's availabilty, though, meaning Martin Guptill makes way. They have only one overseas switch open to them, however, which seems bizarre considering more versatile squads in the tournament.
Probable XI: Roy, Chand, Rossouw, Kumar, Malhotra, Russell, Narine, Dri, Ferguson, Ali, Zampa
San Francisco Unicorns team news
Unicorns have one win from two. They will be happy with their batting depth but there have to be concerns about their pricey bowling. They have conceded 174 in defeat by Seattle and 195 against MI New York.
Their squad building is vastly superior to LA, however, when you consider Brody Couch, Lungi Ngidi and Mackenzie Harvey are on the sidelines.
Probable XI: Wade, Allen, Stoinis, Finch, Anderson, Shadab, Tajinder, Bishnoi, Plunkett, Rauf, Le Roux
Grand Prairie Stadium pitch report
The first-innings scores (1-2 denote match won by team batting first or second) read: 181-1/215-1/147-2/177-1/155-1/163-1/154-1. This is the last league game in Dallas with the tournament moving to Morrisville.
Only once has a team chased and batting is beginning to feel tricky. It's not a great look for the tournament which needs high-scoring thrillers. Perhaps Unicrons' leaky bowling might bust the burgeoning trend.
LA Knight Riders v San Francisco Unicorns match odds
Unicorns are 1.875/6 with LA 2.021/1 on an early show. If we could get the same price about Unicorns batting first we would be very keen.
If there is such a thing as a toss bias (and it is early days), then they are perfectly set up to exploit it because their batting is the most destructive in the tournament. A total of 170 or more is within their grasp and that could be demoralising for an already dispirited LA side.
LA Knight Riders v San Francisco Unicorns player bets
Get on and get in early. First-innings openers may have the best of this track. So we note man of match prices about hitters like Matthew Wade and Finn Allen at 9/110.00 respectively and Marcus Stoinis and Rilee Rossouw at 11/112.00.
Allen has been boosted to 4/1 with Sportsbook to be top Unicorns bat. With the ball, Andre Russell has the chance to bowl at the death. He did so against new York last time. Wickets come cheap, of course, at the end of an innings and the 5/16.00 with Sportsbook about top LA bowler is the closest price to a rick. Keep stakes sensible, though.
