We have another 'jumpers for bumpers' card at Wolverhampton on Sunday and Betfair Ambassador Paul Nicholls has sent seven runners to the Midlands track...
13:35 Wolverhampton - Morito Du Berlais
Is a half-brother to the smart French hurdler Nikita Du Berlais. Is a nice sort and goes well enough at home. But he is no morning glory and has taken a while to come to hand, and is still pretty green and backward. Will need the experience.
Has shown fair form in bumper and novice hurdles but has been crying out for better ground. Has chances in an open race.
Winning pointer who finished third in a 3m novice hurdle at Ludlow back in April. But he has had a hind leg injury, and I would think he will need this run. But on the plus side he has also had a breathing operation since his last run, so hopefully that will have helped.
14:40 Wolverhampton - Whisky Yankee
Should go well here. Showed plenty of pace when winning his bumper at Stratford on good ground, before finishing second in the soft on his hurdling debut at the same track. Wants better ground, and this looks a nice opportunity for him.
15:15 Wolverhampton - Sin Bin
Won two of his three bumpers, both victories coming on good ground, and has run well over hurdles despite not really liking the soft ground. Karazhan looks the one to beat here, but we are fit and well and should run a nice race.
15:50 Wolverhampton - Vibrato Valtat
There is excellent prize money on offer here, and this race is worth over £5,000 to the winner. And you have to think that Vibrato Valtat has fair claims of winning, even though it is a competitive little race. He has run well in testing conditions in a bumper and novice hurdle for me, and won his bumper on good ground in France.
16:50 Wolverhampton - Hinterland
We have taken him out of the Arkle, and he is being aimed at the County Hurdle. He is in good form and the conditions of this race suit him ideally. You would have to think that he has a very strong chance in this company, even if the surface is an unknown.
