Sunday 11th May: It's Sunday, and Nick is worshipping at the church of Uttoxeter.

At Uttoxeter today, Haddaaf is a interesting runner in the opening race at 2pm. This ex John Dunlop trained individual is slowly getting the hang of his new career and could go well today in this race. Last time out he hacked up in a minor event and has more on his plate today but I believe he is still improving over hurdles.The favourite is bound to go off at very short odds and at present Haddaaf is trading at [3.65] on the exchange.

Saturday 10th May: Just one selection for you today from our North American tipster. We're pretty sure it's not red, and there are no rocks in it.

At Lingfield in the 2.10 Red Rocks should prove hard to beat in this event. He is a proven Group 1 performer and if he is fit then he should take this quite easily.At present he is trading at [1.82] in the win market. I have backed him at this price and if his price drifts I may step in again.

Friday 9th May: Nick heads for Nottingham where he's having two win bets

Art Princess is a very interesting runner in Nottingham's maiden at 2pm. This filly is by the very 'now' stallion Officer who has made a favourable impression with his offspring on turf in Europe. I was taken by Art Princess last time out at HQ when she ran very well against Danehill Destiny, who looks to be a candidate for the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. At present, Art Princess is trading at [3.05] in the win market.

Later on at the same track Melodramatic should prove hard to beat in the 4.10. Last time out at Newmarket the selection could not quite get to Danae but the pair were a mile clear of the rest. I felt that the selection was slightly hampered that day making her effort even more commendable. She is regally bred and at present she is trading at [1.96] and I have backed her at that price. There may be more money coming in for the selection before post time.

Thursday 8th May

Nemo Spirit is an interesting runner in the 4.45 at Goodwood. This horse has impressed me without winning and can shed that tag in this maiden. The stable is flying at present with a couple of winners in the past few days, most notably in a decent race at HQ. At present the choice is trading at [7.4] in the win market.

Over at Chester in the 2.45, I will be backing Pampas Cat in the win market. I was on hand to see this beautifully bred son of the great Seeking The Gold landing his maiden at HQ in great style. This is a huge class hike but i am not going to second guess his conditioner. In my opinion Pampas Cat has a lot more to offer and is currently trading at [4.3], a price I have taken.

Wednesday 7th May

Dancing Abbie is of interest to me in both markets in the 2.15 at Chester today. On the bare face of it she has quite a bit to find with the principals but she created a very favourable impression last time out when hacking up at Wolverhampton in a small race.

And enticingly, she boasts some fancy entries coming in to this race. At present she is trading at [9.6] in the win market and [2.74] in the place.

Tuesday 6th May

At Catterick today in the last race at 8.35 Ramaad should go very close in this maiden which really lacks any strength in depth. The selection ran very well at HQ last year at the first time of asking when finishing second to Red Rumour. Normal improvement should see this gelding by Dr Fong win this race.

At present he is trading at [2.14] which appears to be a very good price in my opinion and I have backed him.The selection could be very heavily backed before post time.

Monday 5th May

At Warwick today in the 4.15, Henry Cecil looks to have found a decent opportunity for Diamond Yas to open her account. The selection was an inexpensive purchase but made a pleasing start to her career, finishing third to the highly regarded Street Star in a fair maiden at Yarmouth. At present the selection is trading at [2.54] on the exchange.
