At Chantilly today High Rock looks to have a good chance in this prestigious race at 4.25. This well-bred colt was most impressive in his trial at Longchamp, winning effortlessly by six lengths from Salsalavie. High Rock faces a solid field including 1000gns heroine Natagora, who had a very hard race that day but must be considered a danger to all if her stamina lasts. At present High Rock is trading at 4.0 on the exchange.

Saturday 31st May

At York today in the 5.05, former 80/20 selection Bukit Tinggi should go close in this handicap to end the card.This lightly-raced son of Peintre Celebre finally came good last time out when beating Inspirina in pleasing fashion at Haydock in a small race. He has more to do today but I think he is on the up now that he has a victory under his belt. At present he is trading at [2.84] on the exchange.

Friday 30th May

At York today in the 4.35 Reve De Soleil should go very close in this interesting maiden. At the first time of asking he ran well finishing fourth to Lord Shanakill in a decent looking maiden at York earlier this month. Currently the selection is trading at [3.1] which appears reasonable.

Thursday 29th May

At Ayr in the 2.50 I will be having an investment on Russet Reward in this four runner affair. The selection is in good heart at present with a good effort last time out finishing second to Master Noverre at Doncaster. The choice should be a fair price with the favourite likely to trade at odds-on on in this maiden.

Wednesday 28th May

Tonight at Beverley in the 7.35, I have a fancy for Percolator in this valuable contest.

This filly by Jersey Stakes winner Kheleyf has won two races this term, including a facile victory at Longchamp in a listed contest last time out. In addition, the stable is in decent form and she has a good draw to help her front-running style at this idiosyncratic course. As I write this, Percolator is trading at [4.4] on the exchange.

Tuesday 27th May

I like the look of Hurstpierpoint in the second race at Redcar (2.40, claimer).

This Night Shift filly enters this race on a 14-race losing streak but I think that today could be her "grow up" race. She tries ten furlongs for the first time but after her last effort when she was running on stoutly over seven furlongs to finish a decent second to Casino Night this trip could suit her very well.

Monday 26th May

At Chepstow today I am confident of a good run from Come On Buckers in this selling race for two year olds at 2.55. The selection simply had no chance against the smart Art Connoisseur at Leicester on debut but ran well enough in defeat to finish a respectable fourth. Last time out he was beaten in to fourth behind Dispol Kylie and in truth was slightly disappointing.Today this Fath gelding is dropped in grade and should go well for his in-form trainer.
