At Redcar today in the opening race at 1.40 Enhancing could go well at a big price in this maiden. This filly by Hawk Wing made a pleasing debut when keeping on steadily to finish sixth to Zaaqya at a huge price.Today she will appreciate the ground and is sure to improve on her recent run.

At Ayr tonight in the 6.20 I will be backing Aladdin's Lamp in this maiden over six furlongs. The selection ran well on debut and after showing plenty of speed he finished third to Cook's Endeavour at Leicester at the end of July. The selection is very well bred and with that recent run under his belt i expect this son of Cape Cross to go close tonight.At present he is trading at [2.86] on the exchange.

At Newmarket in the 7.50 Meydan City looks to have a very good chance in this race run over the July course.This $11.7m yearling won in the style of an improving horse when beating Woodcutter last time out at HQ.This beautifully bred son of the great Kingmambo is very much on the upgrade and is sure to go close tonight.

Galpin Junior is a very interesting runner at Folkestone tonight in the 7.45 maiden. I was on hand to see this horse breeze very well at the Fasig-Tipton sales in February where he was sold for $280k. He missed the break on debut at Salisbury but finished very strongly (third to Square Eddie) to give me the strong impression that he will improve for the run. Given a clean start he should be hard to beat tonight and is currently trading at [2.18] on the exchange.

At Brighton in the opening race at 2.30 Starry Sky should prove hard to beat in this maiden. Last time out at Catterick this filly by Oasis Dream ran in to a decent sort in Aldermoor and does not face anything of that calibre in this event and should provide owner Dr Catherine Wills with a victory today. Please note the selection could attract significant support in this event.

In the 3.45 at Chepstow today I will be backing Royal Island in this selling race run over a mile.This horse was contesting Listed company only a year ago but has clearly regressed since that effort at Tralee last August.This is a huge drop in class for this gelded son of Trans Island but should easily handle this opposition today even on what i have seen from him recently.At present the selection is trading at 2.62 on the exchange.

At Windsor tonight in the 8pm Crusoe's Return is an interesting runner in this maiden run over ten furlongs.This colt by Selkirk did not show much on debut at HQ when finishing down the field in a maiden won by Ancient Lights in May but on his second start he left that form way behind when finishing runner up to stablemate Speed Ticket over this course in June.Today could be his "grow up" race with champion jockey Jamie Spencer booked for the ride.
