To Pontefract for the final selection of the week

At Pontefract today in the maiden at 4.40, Indian Groom is an interesting runner.

This gelded son of High Chaparral created a really favourable impression on debut when finishing third to the impressive Touchdown at Thirsk last month. He is sure to improve for the run and go close in this event. At present the selection is trading at [3.45] in the win market.

At Ascot today in the 3.45 Sakhee's Secret should go well in this Group 1 event.This proven top grade performer won the July Cup in tremendous fashion last year and comes in to this race after a good run last time out at HQ which he clearly needed.The selection is still lightly raced and his conditioner will have him spot on for this very competitive event.

At Ascot today in the 3.45, Infallible should go very close in this Group 1 event. This daughter of the mighty Pivotal looked as if she was going to win the 1000gns at Newmarket a furlong out but was ran out of the places close home. Today she should be suited by the slightly easier mile and this lightly raced filly is still open to further improvement.

In the opening race at Ascot today at 2.30, South Central should go well in this really decent two-year-old race. This son of Forest Camp could hardly have been more impressive when annihilating a field of maidens at Carlisle in early June. Clearly there is more to come from this individual and I expect improvement from him today. At present he is trading at [4.6] on the exchange.

At Ascot today I like the look of Il Warrd in the opening race at 2.30. Last time out in the French 2000gns he ran as if a step back to seven furlongs would suit and he is sure to appreciate the drop in grade today. At present he is trading at [15.0] in the win market and [4.7] in the place.

Later on in the 4.55 at Ascot Danehill Destiny should go well in this very hot race over the minimum trip. The selection was very impressive on debut when winning very easily at HQ. Last time out at Windsor she showed a willing attitude when beating Prolific and i think she will appreciate this faster ground. At present she is trading at [4.5] which appears appropriate.

At Ascot today, in the 3.05, Fleeting Spirit should go very close in this Group 1 event. Last time out on her first start as a three-year- old she put up a huge effort to thrash Borderlescott in a super display of sprinting to lower the course record. I think this filly is still improving and her current price of [3.25] looks appropriate.

At Warwick tonight in the 8.40, Miramare should go well in this Listed event. This daughter of Rainbow Quest has some solid credentials coming in to this race notably when running a very good second to the progressive Malt Or Mash at Kempton in March. Last time out she took a while to settle when finishing third to Folk Opera so hopefully she can relax on the lead in this event. At present the selection is trading at [4.8.]
