With Black Caviar's 17-race unbeaten stretch expected to be extended when the mare steps up to 1400m for the first time on Saturday, Betfair have opened up two new special markets on the race...
Australia's darling, Black Caviar, steps up to 1400m for the first time in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (04:50 GMT) and will be taken on by eight rivals that include Caulfield Cup (2400m) winner Southern Speed, former Ballydoyle runner Midas Touch and Precedence, who lead the field in the Melbourne Cup to over two furlongs out having raced very keenly.
With the possibility of Black Caviar being beaten highly unlikely (she currently trades at [1.07]), Betfair have opened a pair of special bet markets on her participation in the CF Orr Stakes.
Those who fancy Black Caviar to break the Caulfield 1400m track record have the opportunity of backing her to do so in the "Track Record" market, while wagers can also be placed on the "Winning Margin", with "Dead Heat to 3 lengths", "3.01 lengths to 4.25 lengths", "4.26 lengths to 5.5 lengths" and "Over 5.5 lengths" the options.
The world's highest-rated sprinter (Timeform master rating of 135), who is to run next in the Futurity Stakes over the same course and distance before embarking on an international mission that could feature the Golden Shaheen at Meydan in March and the commemoratively-titled Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot in June, is expected to pull a crowd of 30,000 to Caulfield Racecourse.
